YouTube adventures part -40- Always stay positive?
When you listen to some people on YouTube they always seem to be positive and polite, at least they don't use curse words or other bad words that aren't accepted by everyone. This often makes me wonder, are these real people or are they robots in disguise? Because who the hell is like that? Maybe it's just me but I doubt that everyone is...
Always positive.
It really annoys me when I hear people say gee darn or aw shucks in their videos, it makes me feel like I'm a kid watching some lame kid show. These people aren't letting out their real emotions and just try to trick you with some lame ass bullshit. When I'm upset then you'll hear that I'm upset, I'm not trying to hold back but say some dumb and annoying things but that's because I'm really annoyed with someone or something and I'm not trying to be nice at that point. This is real, this isn't some lame attempt to make people think that I'm ok and that everything is fine. It's not fine and I'm not fine, I don't think it's a crime be yourself and voice out your emotions.
That doesn't mean you should say whatever comes to your mind, because you do try to keep things civilized if possible, which is why I don't try to be offensive but sometimes when I'm annoyed I do end up being offensive purely out of frustration because of something that happened in a game. You can think all you want but most people that play games experience frustration, wether that's because of other people or just some bullshit that happens in the game itself. The point is that you're upset and that you respond to that, maybe when you realize that you're recording you are holding back but honestly I think it's better to just let out the frustration because keeping that bottled up isn't exactly healthy!
I don't encourage to insult people, but if you have to blow off some steam then at least keep your microphone muted so others don't actually hear what you have to say. Because it's really lame when someone keeps whining or complaining about something in public chat, nobody wants to hear that! It's better to keep that to yourself and if you do feel like talking to someone on your team about something then you should keep it polite, because nobody wants to listen to you if you start with an insult or if you're being very negative.
Everyone has a bad day with gaming, a day where everything goes wrong and no matter how many times you try to record something there is constantly something going wrong. This is also that gets you in a bad mood which doesn't really do wonders to your positive attitude that you were trying to build up in your videos. So once again I recommend being honest, just record the truth and how you really are and not just the good (positive) and succeful moments because that's just lying to your viewers. It's not that I recommend posting a shouting match or making rage videos, but just show the truth and I'm certain your viewers will appreciate that more than just the good moments.
Always positive.
