How do you prepare for Final Fantasy XV?

Final Fantasy XV is coming out at the end of this month, so that means you only have a couple of weeks to get things done in other games and then surrender to an amazing experience in Final Fantasy XV. Which will probably mean that you won't be playing a lot of other games except Final Fantasy XV in December. So how do you prepare for that?

Relax and unwind or get as many achievements/trophies as you can?

This is a difficult choice for me, I would like to relax and just play games that I enjoy playing but at the same time I also want to boost my gamerscore a bit with some achievements because I get the feeling that will go slow in December. I think the best move you can make is just to relax, play the same you really want to play and have fun with those because once Final Fantasy XV comes out you probably won't be playing other games for quite some time. So right now I try to have as much fun with GTA V Online, Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1 and Gears of War 4. This means a lot of switching around for me but at least I can enjoy playing these games now because I know that once Final Fantasy XV comes out I will only be playing that game for the next couple of weeks.

What else can you do to prepare?

I actually watched the animated movie Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. This movie gives you a peek into what you can expect in the game and introduces certain characters to you that you will meet in the game. I don't think the movie really spoils anything, it actually makes you understand a bit better what's going on and should help you understand the story a bit better. So that makes the movie almost a must to see and it's pretty good so you're not really wasting time here! It also helps if you do your social stuff before the game comes out, because if you're just like me then you probably won't be that social once the game comes out. That doesn't mean that you should ignore you friends but maybe kindly let them know that you'll be busy playing a new game. But if you can find some spare time then don't be afraid to do something else than playing Final Fantasy XV once it comes out, I think your family and friends will appreciate it.

But what if you're not interesting in buying and playing Final Fantasy XV?

Then you should be fine, you can just play whatever game you want to play and not be bothered by anything. You might notice that some of your friends will be less active in online multiplayer and that a lot of people are playing Final Fantasy XV, but it shouldn't keep you from enjoying other games. But I would recommend checking out Final Fantasy XV, play the demo and check some (gameplay) trailers and maybe just maybe you might be interested. I know that Final Fantasy games aren't for everyone, but I thought that it also was nothing for me until I played Final Fantasy VIII and I really enjoyed playing that game! Sometimes all it takes is one good game to get you hooked.
