Final Fantasy XV, so close and yet so far...
It's only a week until Final Fantasy XV will launch and I bet a lot of people can't wait to play it already, but we've reached the last week of waiting so this should be easy considering the amount of years it took for this game to finally (no pun intended) become available. But are you ready for this game? Let's find out!
Do you know what you can expect with Final Fantasy XV?
Maybe some people deliberately stay ignorant so they can enjoy Final Fantasy XV more, but I personally prefer to get some information so I don't step into a new game blind. Sometimes that's fun, but in a huge game like Final Fantasy XV it's good to have some background information and know what's going on. So in Final Fantasy XV you play as Noctis, the crown prince and only son of the King Regis, and you start the game travelling with your best friends. It's some sort of bachelor party or adventure you could say. But then after some dramatic events back home Noctis returns and finds out that everything has changed in his country, so he is forced to take up arms against those that would do harm to his people and himself. This means an epic adventure where you battle an evil ruler and you trying to set your country free and save everyone. It seems simple but as you probably know these things are hardly ever simple! But don't think you only have to go on story missions, you also have side missions and other activities that you can do. The latest trailer showed you can go monster hunting, fishing and exploring in the huge world of Eos. So I doubt you'll get bored with this game any time soon!
It's just a party of four guys?
Some people aren't happy about this, they would like to have some women in the party but I actually don't mind this at all. Remember that we had a party with only women in Final Fantasy X-2, which wasn't bad either. So maybe give this a chance and who knows you might actually like it. In the latest trailer they show some more depth to your friends in the game. For example Prompto is the livewire who is the heart and soul of the group and usually keeps the spirit up in the group, Gladiolus is the bodyguard and the strongest member of the group, Ignis is the strategist and can mark enemies in a battle that Noctis can that charge at with special attacks and he also cooks which gives everyone bonus stats and last but definitely not least is Noctis who wields spectral weapons that he can use to beat all kinds of enemies. So yeah maybe they're just four guys but they look awesome and have some cool skills and personalities, so I can't wait to go on an adventure with these guys!
Why should you be excited for this game?
Ok let's assume you're serious and don't understand why a lot of people are excited about this game. Final Fantasy isn't just a game, it's an adventure that takes you into a fantasy world where you can lose yourself and discover new things and do all kinds of cool things. For me this adventure started in Final Fantasy VIII and ever since I've been a fan and played several Final Fantasy games before and after Final Fantasy VIII. But Final Fantasy has been announced a decade ago and in that first trailer people were already amazed by how it looked, so imagine how amazed they are when they see the latest trailers. For them it's a long wait that has finally (still not not intended as a pun) come to an end and they can play the game they have been waiting so long for! For both fans and newcomers this is an adventure you don't want to miss out on. Sure it's not that fast first person shooter, popular simulator or build game but this is an adventure that will keep you busy for quite some time and that will be an adventure for everyone willing to take a chance. Besides have you seen the graphics, the gameplay and pretty much everything about the game? It looks amazing! But of course not everyone is excited because not every game is for everyone. If you do decide to take a chance with this game then I doubt that you will regret it!
