Game tip: the Witcher 3
Have you ever played one of the Witcher games? I played the Witcher 2 and I wasn't very happy with it. I guess my need to rush through it and the game taking things slow didn't really mix well and I quickly discarded the game. But then the Witcher 3 came out and I must admit that I was impressed with the game, but I hadn't forgotten about my experience with the Witcher 2 so I decided not to buy it. But now if you're a gold member on Xboxlive you can buy the Witcher 3 for 15 Euros, which is a pretty sweet deal for a good game!
Is the Witcher 3 a good game?
I took a chance but for 15 Euros I'm willing to take that chance because a game that gets that many good reviews and I heard so many positive comments about this game that I just couldn't ignore that! Perhaps it was still an impulsive purchase but sometimes you have to take a chance and sometimes that actually pays off, in this case it payed off nicely with the Witcher 3 because I'm really enjoying myself playing the game! The open world, the adventures, the random events and the things you can do it's all a lot of fun! I must admit that I'm still not a big fun for the whole preperation thing when you fight stronger monsters but it does help you beat them and make the fight a lot easier. But also just talking with people and doing small quests can be quite satisfying, because you can make a difference and earn some gold in the process. I'd say that's the best out of two worlds!
You're a monster hunter?
You could say that, because people put out a contract and a witcher takes that contract for gold. That seems a bit heartless but if you know the risk you're taking and the equipment you need to take down some monsters it makes sense that you get gold for your trouble. The trick of winning more difficult fights against tougher monsters is in figuring out what they can do, what makes them vulnerable and how you can exploit a weakness. So doing a bit of reading in your information database isn't the most fascinating thing to do but it can help you survive an encounter with a tough monster. This way you know with spell, potion and strategy will work best against that monster instead of just going for the hack and slash tactic.
Why is this such a good deal?
For 15 Euros you get a big game, because this game will keep you busy for quite some time, and it's also fun to play. You also get a lot of free dlc stuff you can download once you have the game, which sometimes means new armor and other times new quests. For the big dlc packs you still need to pay money but you already get a lot with the game so don't think you beat this game in just a couple of days. If you want to go for the full experience then you're in for a long ride! Which is excellent if you don't have the money for Final Fantasy XV or if you're looking for something else than all the games that are out now. It's a single player adventure where you can lose yourself in a huge world with a lot of things to do. Honestly time flies when you're playing this game! But remember the deal on Xboxlive is only there for a week so you better hurry if you want to get the game for 15 Euros.
