Xboxlive, good or bad?
If you have to believe the haters, often trolls or Sony fan boys/girls, then Xboxlive is a piece of shit. But the fact is that Xboxlive is pretty stable, there's hardly any issues with it and you can usually play online without too much trouble. But how good is Xboxlive really and are there really no problems with Xboxlive?
Xboxlive is good?
When it comes to online gaming it's very good, I hardly ever have any issues with Xboxlive and if there are issues it's usually my own internet connection that's giving me problems or the game is having issues. I'm not saying that Xboxlive is amazing, but it usually delivers what you're asking for. Also the point system is great for everyone that doesn't like using or doesn't have a creditcard. There is a wide selection of games, add-ons and other entertainment you can download or try out on Xboxlive. Wether you want to watch movies, series or even sport if that's your thing. Wether you like to keep things simple with just playing games or you want to enjoy all that Xboxlive has to offer, I'd say most players get something good out of Xboxlive. Even if you're not a gold member, there are moments that silver members get a free online multiplayer weekend so they can play with or against other players without having to pay for anything. But if you're a gold member you get free games with gold every month, that's games for your Xbox One and Xbox 360. What's also cool is that you now have backwards compatible games, so you can play Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One.
Xboxlive is bad?
Unfortunately not everything is good, sometimes there are things that are quite lame. One of those things are the codes you use to unlock something for a game, for example you bought a special edition and you can unlock a new character skin or other bonus stuff with a code. You enter this code on Xboxlive and big surprise it doesn't work! Then you enter a shit storm of bullshit that often means you either feel the need to strangle someone or just give up because often there is nothing that can be done for you. If it works then that's great but when it doesn't work then you're screwed! Maybe you don't think this is the fault of Xboxlive but honestly if it says that the code is accepted, that it says that everything is ok and then suddenly you get an error message and the content can't be downloaded and using the code again results in not getting the content because you already used the code. I guess it makes sense to blame Xboxlive at that point! Another thing I hate about Xboxlive are the issues with achievements. Under normal circumstances there shouldn't be a problem, you just unlock an achievement and you're done. But then there are moments that achievements don't pop up on your screen eventhough you know you did what you needed to do to get it. But sometimes it's worse, then the achievement does pop up on your screen but it's not registered, but since you popped it already on your screen you can't unlock it again. Once again you enter a load of bullshit if you want to try and get the achievement, it's enough to get gray hairs and almost makes you wish you bought that Playstation 4 instead.

I think it's really a personal question because some people hardly ever have issues and then there are some people who have a lot of issues. I don't think you can really say that it's bad for everyone, sometimes some people just get unlucky and face the worst side of Xboxlive while others enjoy all the good parts of it. Yes that's unfair but unfortunately that's life. Does that make Xboxlive bad? I don't think so, eventhough some people who have had a lot of bad experiences will probably say that Xboxlive is bad and it wouldn't surprise me if they moved on to the Playstation 4. Not that this console is problem free but the grass is usually greener on the other side of the fence. I've had good moments with Xboxlive, but also bad moments. So it's difficult for me to say if Xboxlive is good or bad, I think it's both but if I have to be honest and objective then I would have to admit that Xboxlive is good. Sure there are issues with it and not everything is good, but most of it is and a lot of people make use of Xboxlive and are most likely happy with it. Sure we all whine about things sometimes, but I don't think it's fair to condemn Xboxlive because of some issues. I think that Xboxlive is a constant work in progress, hopefully it keeps getting better and that the issues you might have with Xboxlive stay to a minimum.
