Fallout 4 Far Harbor dlc
I've been looking out for this dlc ever since it got announced several months ago, because this gives you a new area with new missions and characters. I love that about Bethesda games where they give you new areas to discover and new characters to talk with or to fight against. Far Harbor dlc is huge, so you don't have to worry about being done in an hour or so. But is it worth getting it? I think it is!
Far Harbor is huge?
Yes it's huge, it gives you a big island you can explore and if you want to explore everything then you'll be busy for several days and I bet even then you wouldn't have found all places and all the things you can do. The main missions won't take you that long, except for one puzzle mission in Minecraft style that will keep you busy for a couple of hours, but all the side missions and other things you can do should keep you busy for quite some time! There's even a bit of a collectible hunt, a total of five books you need to find, and more missions that show up the more you explore and complete. So you shouldn't worry about being done in a couple of hours!
What is Far Harbor?
Far Harbor is a town on the new island where you first arrive. You've been hired by parents that ask you to find their daughter and you discovered that she's on the island. It immediately puts a creepy feeling in your head the moment you see the fog condenser glow blue and the fog all around it with weird noises coming from the fog. The fog is actually radioactive and will make you sick if you move through it. The fog covers most of the island so getting good protection with you is a smart move! On the island are three factions: the people in the town of Far Harbor, the synths in Acadia and the children of Atom in the Nucleus (an atomic submarine). You can do missions for all three factions and pretty much side with this, but they're not all friendly towards eachother and deciding how you handle things it can lead to a lot of messy sitatuations!
What else is new?
You get some nice weapons for example a harpoon gun that does a lot of damage but is slow to reload, but you also get a lever action rifle that also packs a punch but also has a slower reload. Then there's a meat hook for everyone that wants to get in a I know what you did last Summer mood. Most of the people on the island are dressed as fishermen and often use weapons based on that as well. The marine combat armor looks very nice and is the strongest armor if you're not wearing the power armor, but you can also wear the marine combat armor when stepping into power armor. You get a new companion, I won't spoil who this is, new places you can build settlements and a lot of new monsters that are sometimes huge! There's a lot to discover and a lot to do on the island so I hope you enjoy exploring because you've got a lot of that awaiting you!
