How do you play games?

There are many ways to play games, for example there is  the full experience where you try to do everything you can in the game and invest a lot of time in playing the game, then there's the achievement/trophy hunt playstyle where you focus on getting all or most of the achievements/trophies in a game and then there's the quick playthrough where you just want to beat the game as fast as possible and then move on to the next game. There are probably more playstyles but these three are most common in my opinion.

What is the best way to play games?

Oh you think I can answer that for you? Well it's not that simple, because depending on who you are it's difficult to say that one way is better than the other. Because if you enjoy playing games but don't have a lot of time to play them then it's easy to say that you go for the quick playthrough but then you would miss out on a lot of stuff, so you might want to go for the full experience but that will take you a long time to beat the game then and let's not forget that new games come out every month so you might want to think about your playstyle here! I think it's safer to say that we all have our own playstyle and that doesn't have to be better than another playstyle but it probably works best for you. Isn't that the most important thing? That your playstyle works well for you. Who cares if others say it's dumb or that you should play differently, because if the playstyle works for you then that's all that matters!

Can you have multiple playstyles?

I guess you could, eventhough you would probably just give that a different name. For example you go for a quick playthrough but at the same time try to get as many achievements/trophies while playing the game. This way you use two playstyles at once but the focus is somewhere in the middle, which means you probably take a bit longer to beat the game and you might not get all the achievements/trophies because you're in a hurry. It's probably smarter to stick to one playstyle but if you think you can combine your playstyle with another playstyle then feel free to give it a try, because if something works out better for you then who am I to tell you that shouldn't do that?

What is your role in a team?

Your playstyle often also determines your role in a team, for example if you like to charge into battle then you will probably have more succes as a tank than a healer. The trick is finding a role that suits you best, so don't be too quick to settle with a role you like because there could be something better. Of course it's important to stick to something you like and also something that works well with your playstyle. Because putting someone that likes to deal damage into a healer role is just asking for trouble, I'm not saying your team is doomed but you're forcing that person in a role he or she isn't comfortable with and that's not fun and when people aren't having fun then it's the question how long they're going to stay in that role. In the end we all have our own playstyle and our own role in a team, there's nothing wrong with trying something new but we usually stick with what we're familiar with and what gives us succes in games. Which is in my opinion a good thing!
