Sinful Sunday: Being a coward helps you win games?

I'm not going to lie, when I'm new to a game I usually don't go for the heroic moments but usually more for the what keeps me alive tactics. That doesn't mean I want to camp but sometimes I notice that I do hang around in certains areas a lot longer than I normally would. I guess in the end I just want to win and have a good time, so if being a coward helps me out then who really cares?

Veteran players hate noobs?

People that are more familiar with a game, often you can consider them as veterans, usually don't like to play with noobs, people that are new to a game, because these new players usually play cowardly and in a way that frustrate veteran players. In team based games it's often the new player(s) that get blamed for the loss because the veteran players couldn't be reponsible for that! Except sometimes they are, people that think they're a hot shit sniper and yet they can't hit anything and people that demand that someone else plays as a healer because they can't be bothered to do that. So veteran players aren't always that much fun, especially in certain games they're no fun at all. But don't think it's just the noobs that play cowardly, some veterans do that as well and will camp their dick off in certain game modes just to get the win or the most kills. Because hey that really matters, oh wait it doesn't.

Campers are cowards?

You could say that, but I often consider campers as lazy scumbags. Instead of running around on the map for enemies they would rather sit still in one spot and kill anyone that comes around the corner for a quick and easy kill. Some consider that as cowardly, I personally see that more as lazy. Get off your camp spot and do something! Honestly it's really frustrating to see these type of players get a lot of kills with literally doing nothing else than sitting in one spot and racking up a lot of kills. Campers get a lot of hate and eventhough I don't think that hate is the best way to respond to campers I do know how frustrating they can be. Having one camper in a match is annoying, but having ten or more campers is just unbearable. I mean you can't move around because there is some dickhead waiting around every corner. That really sucks the fun out of a game and it's often the moment where I want to move on to another game.

Cowards win more games?

It's possible, especially when you consider certain cheap tactics like camping or playing on a smurf account against lower skilled players as cowardly. But also keep in mind that there are people that will sit next to power weapons in Halo multiplayer or power ups in Star Wars: Battlefront for some easy kills. That's quite cowardly, at least not really behaviour that people would respect or like to see in a match. I know that a lot of people want to win a match and it's easy to fall back to some cheap tactics, but be honest is that really fun for you? Sure you get a lot of kills but you get them in a way that is heavily frowned upon and pretty much most players in the match will give you hate for it. Is that really fun and worth it? Perhaps for some people it is, I prefer to try and play a game without using cheap tactics. Sure when I'm new to a game I will be more careful and probably fall back to a cheap tactic just to learn the game and get more familiar with how everything works. I mean you don't want to be the person who died twenty times and only got two kills, that's just not fun at all! But there comes a time when you have to move forward, take more risks and hopefully succeed with whatever your plan is. Just try to keep things fun, not just for yourself but also others.
