Overwatch Uprising, a good reason to go back to Overwatch?

Some time ago I told you about how I feel about Overwatch, I needed a break from Overwatch and I needed one desperately. But now there is another event and I have to admit it looks pretty good! Not only do you get another PvE event, but also a lot of new cool things that I would love to get for my characters! I mean just look at the Blackwatch skins of McCree and Genji or the Talon skin for Widowmaker, absolutely worth checking out!

What is Overwatch Uprising?

Overwatch Uprising is an event that takes you back to something that happened in Kings Row 7 years ago. The omnics attacked Kings Row and Overwatch sends a small team to deal with it, but they haven't gotten permission from the authorities to be there. You play in this PvE mode as one of four heroes or you can pick the alternate mode and play as whatever hero you want. I would strongly suggest that you first play with one of the four original heroes for the Uprising event. These four heroes are Reinhardt, Torbjörn, Mercy and Tracer. You all have a role to play and it's not just about who can kill the most bots. You also have to guard certain areas, escort a payload through the streets and defeat four bosses. It seems simple at first but the higher difficulties will give you a pretty difficult challenge. I'm really starting to think that Blizzard doesn't want you to get all the achievements for this event!

You can play this event as every hero?

Yes, there are two modes for this new event. The first one is where you play as one of the four original members of the strike team and in the other mode you can pick your own hero. That's nice but can also lead to some difficulties. For example I played a match where I picked a useful character, Soldier 76, another guy picked Bastion and then the last two guys picked Reaper and Genji. Well you can probably guess how that went, that's right it went badly! Not having a tank or at least a healer makes winning that much more difficult. Especially when you play on a higher difficulty. Once again people with friends that play this game will have a much better time with it than people who join the solo queue. But it's not impossible, with some luck and team work you can get far and maybe even win. It's a pretty long mission though, so you might want to keep that in mind when you're picking a less useful character. If you lose all your health you're knocked out, so another person can revive you by holding the right button next to you. Unfortunately this takes some time and I've seen several times people getting killed while trying to pick up someone else. Mercy has a revive that can revive everyone at once so that's almost a must pick character in my opinion. Anyway good luck and have fun!
