Mass Effect Andromeda, the patch actually helped?

Some time ago I talked about all the issues I had with Mass Effect Andromeda, even with all that I still enjoyed playing the game. But now there's a patch and this is supposed to fix most of the issues, but did it fix the issues and have you had any more issues with the game?

The patch works?

 I don't get too excited when people tell me that there is a patch for a game, I'd rather first see it and then believe it. But the patch for Mass Effect Andromeda seems to work, what's even better is that I have had a lot less problems with the game. I mean there are still a few tiny bugs and glitches but nothing as frustrating as before. The faces look a bit better, so no botox faces but actually faces that have emotions on them. Also cutscenes that sometimes would get stuck seem to be free of that curse, at least so far I haven't had any issues with that. I also haven't had any endless loading screens or characters getting stuck on something, both of those issues made it very frustrating to play the game sometimes but with those gone I can really start to relax and enjoy the game as it was hoping to enjoy it.

So all the troubles are gone?

 Well...I wouldn't celebrate too much, I mean sometimes things seem fixed and then out of nowhere another issue can pop up. But for people that were waiting for things to get better then I can say that now is a good time to jump into the game and start playing! As I mentioned before there are still some small bugs and glitches but nothing too serious, your character will sometimes freeze a moment when he or she is running and as much as you might hate this it's just a moment and then things are back to normal. This sometimes happens when I'm running around on the ship or on the Nexus. There is still that issue that when you talk to some people in the game that they will keep moving while trying to talk to them, this happened to me on Voeld when I freed one of the Angara and while talking to him he kept moving away to another location which made it more difficult to hear what he was saying. This isn't game breaking but still not exactly as it should be. At least Bioware has made a good patch for now and it has solved a lot of issues I had with the game, it's going to be more fun to play the game now and that's always a good thing!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything. Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet!
