Lucio ball, Overwatch becomes Rocket League?

I'll admit that I never played Rocket League, not that I really dislike the game but that type of competive games just make me frustrated and I prefer to play games that are fun for me to play. But with Lucio ball, the Summer Olympics inspired new type of match in Overwatch, things are a bit less serious and hopefully more fun.

Lucio ball is Rocket League?

I know a lot of people say that but I don't agree, sure it might be the same idea but it plays differently. First of all there are no boosts, there is no ceiling driving and you can explode eachother. As Lucio you do have a short speed boost, you can push the ball or other players with your special ability and you have your ultimate that can suck the ball towards you for a short time. What I like more about Lucio ball is that this is fast and simple, it doesn't really matter who wins or loses but just two teams of three playing against eachother. While with Rocket League I get the feeling it's a whole thing, the so called MLG crew that will 'own' you on the field. I think that Lucio ball isn't that serious and has a bigger focus on fun, just the way I like it!

Lucio ball is easy?

I didn't say that! In my first match I found another team that was just as terrible as me, oh sure I lost but not with big numbers. In my second match I had to battle against a team of experienced players that kept shooting high balls and I just felt out of place. I was completely out of my league, no pun intended, and really annoyed that I had to face people who clearly have played this game type a lot. It's easy to lose against people like that with 5 to nothing, that's actually not the worst outcome because I bet some people might have lost with even bigger numbers. You can definitely get a good team and communication is actually quite important, unfortunately this is still a big problem when you play with random people because most of them won't communicate or even have a mic plugged in. That's rough and makes certain matches almost impossible to win against a team of players that is communicating and knows some nasty tricks. But the more you play the more you learn and who knows maybe sooner or later you'll be just as much of a trick master as some of the other players. But I think I'll just go back to multiplayer, not that Lucio ball is boring or stupid but I doubt it's really for me.
