Game tip: Rainbow Six Siege
If you have a gold membership on Xboxlive and of course you have the Xbox One then you're in for a good deal! Rainbow Six Siege is now 20 Euros if you have a gold membership, which is a pretty sweet deal for a fun game!
What is Rainbow Six Siege?
Rainbow Six Siege is a mostly multiplayer type of game that puts two teams of five against eachother, one team is defending and the other is attacking. What makes this game so intense is that a lot of things can be destroyed on a map, for example walls, doors, windows, floors and even the ceiling. This creates a lot of holes in the defense so the attackers have an advantage but the defenders can reinforce the area so it really comes down to good preperation and team work to beat the other team. The attackers begin with their drone looking for the objective which could be a hostage, two bombs (they only need to defuse one) or a biological cannister (which counts as a capture point). The defenders can immediately start reinforcing the objective room or other areas if they want to. You can roam around or just guard the objective directly. What really makes this game interesting is that every operator has his or her own special skill that can give you a benefit in the match. One of them can shoot cluster bombs through a wall (Fuze), another can place traps on doors or windows (Kapkan), then there's an operator that can breach through reinforced walls (Thermite) and there's also an operator that has a scanning device that can see heartbeats through walls (Pulse). Of course there are a lot more operators but this already should give you an idea how insane things can get and how easily a good defense can be broken and how hard it sometimes is for an attacker to get to the objective.
Why should you get this game?
Because it's a lot of fun! It's an easy to learn difficult to master type of game, which means that you might get a couple of kills every now and then as a rookie but if you really want to shine in this game you'll need a lot of experience and of course also a lot of luck. You only have one life each round so that makes things even more tense, what's worse is that friendly fire is on so sometimes you might get a team killer on your team and that person can ruin everything for your team. But don't let that keep you from having fun in this game, because there are also a lot of players that just want to have fun like you and play the game. The amount of weapons, attachments, weapon skins and operators really makes it worth it to check it all out. Because there will always be a certain type of character you'll like and that might work for you in multiplayer. But only one player can play as a certain character, so there are no Overwatch issues where there is a full team of people playing as the same operator. The game is constantly developing in a better game with updates and improvements which also makes it interesting to return after a break. I bought the game in December and I still come back to Rainbow Six Siege almost every month because I really like it. Multiplayer isn't as big as you might expect in this game but you can keep yourself busy with situations (training missions) and terrorist hunt missions that you can play solo or with other people if you want to. It's a fun game and worth checking out in my opinion!
