Youtube adventures part 3

When you have a youtube channel you want to keep your viewers happy, especially when making youtube videos is your job. Because if people don't like your videos then there's a good chance they won't watch your videos, at least future videos. But what if you're just a guy or girl that makes videos for fun? Should you make videos that your viewers might like or make videos that you like?


It's all about having fun!


Wether you're a professional youtuber or not it's all about having fun, make videos about games where you have fun and don't make videos about games if it's just to score some views. People will notice when you're actually having fun playing a game or when you pretend, ok some people are good at deceiving but sooner or later people will figure out if you're someone that really enjoys playing games or just someone that's in it for the fame and money.


There's nothing wrong with wanting to get succes with your videos, but you should keep in mind that you make the videos for the right reasons and not for selfish reasons! I think the best way to start is to have low expectations and just have fun, make videos that you like and what makes you happy. With some luck it makes others happy too, even if it's just one or two people out there. I'd say if one of my videos makes only one person happy then I'm happy, because that's the reason why I started with my youtube videos and I think a lot of other people as well. You just want to make people happy and laugh at your videos, maybe because you did something silly or because you did something amazing. It still comes down to you having fun and not you making money, if that ever changes then you really have to ask yourself if you should keep going because if it's all about money then you lost the reason why you started in the first place!


I'm now at the end of episode one of Life is strange with my videos, it's now up to me if I upload episode two videos or if I leave it at that. I know that not a lot of people watch my videos and that's ok, because I would never want to force people to watch my videos or whine to others about watching my videos. I don't even promote them and if you saw the quality of my videos then you would also know why I think it would be silly to do that. So it now comes down to me to decide if I want to continue with Life is strange videos or leave it as it is at episode one. But do you know why I keep making videos? Because I'm having fun making videos, it makes me laugh and feel better. Even if the whole world would hate them, I'd still make them just because it makes me happy. I think that's a good reason to make videos, don't you?

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything. Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet!
