Youtube adventures part 5
There are good moments on youtube but there are also bad moments on youtube, sometimes you get new subscribers and sometimes you lose subscribers. It's not always clear to me why people just decide to leave or why they suddenly join, not everyone is talkative and it doesn't suprise me that some people just hope that if they subscribe to you that you'll subscribe to them but fail to mention that in a message. Not that this would convince me to do that but at least then I would know why they subscribe and why they eventually left.
A setback doesn't kill your channel!
Some people are very sensitive to setbacks, the moment something goes wrong or doesn't go the way they want it to go makes some people depressed or in some cases even angry. With a youtube channel you have to realize that there will be a lot of moments where people will subscribe and eventually leave again. This might be frustrating but you shouldn't let that get to you, because if your goal is to get a lot of subscribers then you're doing it wrong! Your goal should be having fun and doing something you like, then hopefully the subscribers will come eventually. Because when people see that you're having fun then it will be more fun for them to watch your videos. But if you try really hard to be entertaining and you actively work towards your goal of getting a lot of subscribers then people might not be that eager to subscribe and even avoid your channel.
That doesn't mean that you can't have dreams, of course it's nice when a lot of people subscribe to your channel and that you have succes with your youtube channel. But you should realize that not everyone will be succesful and that the road to succes is full of setbacks. The trick is to find your way through that and don't let that stop you. I'm not saying that you should put all your energy in your videos, that can be exhausting! It's smarter to upload less videos but with high quality than to upload a lot of videos of low quality. I know that I upload almost every day a video and most videos are low quality videos, but that's because I don't care about subscribers or if people really like it or not. I make videos mostly for myself, if others like them then that's a nice bonus but it's not my main goal with making youtube videos.
You are in control of your channel, you decide what you want to do with your channel and how you want to do it. Don't feel bad if things don't go your way or if succes isn't coming, as long as you're having fun making videos then you should be alright! Maybe you could ask your subscribers what they would like to see or maybe some people have tips for you. Don't be afraid to listen to advice, but always remember why you make your videos and stick to things you like to do and not do things you don't like to do!
