Assassin's Creed Empire?

Have you heard the rumors of the new Assassin's Creed game? Apparently it takes place in ancient Egypt, which suprises me because ever since the first AC game we've been going forward in time and not backwards. It's fun though to go back in time and check out how things went back then, not that the AC games are super accurate with history but who cares about that?


Why ancient Egypt?


Why not? Ancient Egypt is an interesting time and looking at the weird magic/science that goes on behind the scenes in the AC universe it might just fit. Besides time was running around, I mean there could've been some 20th century adventures in AC games but I think most people like AC games that take place in the past. Just look at how people hate the current day moments in the AC games, it's one of the reasons why Ubisoft stopped with the Desmond story. So maybe playing assassin in Egypt could be cool, explore the pyramids and perhaps unravel a mystery or create one.


Who is the main character?


You do realize that at this point it's just rumors, so it's not even been confirmed that this game exists. But assuming that it's true then that could mean that you play as a slave that breaks free or is left for dead and you get your revenge as an assassin, at least that's a story that seems likely to me. Then again it could be something completely different, you play as a prince that is fed up with how things are going and secretly dress up as an assassin to make a change. Hm ok that seems a bit less likely...


Are you interested in AC Empire?


At this point I know hardly anything about the game and it's not confirmed that this game even exists, but if it is then this could be an interesting game. But in AC games it's not really about the time where it takes place, it's about the characters and the story. If that sucks then the rest doesn't really matter. So at this point I can't say much about AC Empire and I don't even know if that will be the name of the game, but I must admit that I'm curious about this game and hopefully I learn more about it in the near future. I'd say keep a close eye on this game because it might just be a fantastic game, even if it's half as good as AC Syndicate.

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything.
