Canadian operators in Rainbow Six Siege

If you enjoy playing Rainbow Six Siege just like me then you're probably interested in two new operators coming next week, for season pass owners. These are two of a total of eight new operators that will make their way to Rainbow Six Siege this year, I don't know when the rest will be available but the first two Canadian operators will be available on February the 2nd if you're a season pass owner and if you're not then the operators are available for everyone on February the 9th.


What can the new operators do?


You get an attacker and a defender. The attacker is Buck who has a shotgun under barrel attachment he can use on his primary weapons. This allows you to have a rifle for long distance combat and you can switch to the under barrel shotgun attachment for close quarters combat. I don't know how many shots you get with it but I take it you should be able to do some serious damage with that! The defender is Frost who can place a trap that will immobilize enemies,so it probably won't kill them but keep them in place. If this means that they can't get out without the help of a team mate or that they can free themselves is unknown to me, but her trap (called the welcome mat) is mechanical so Thatcher can't destroy it with his EMP grenades.


What if you don't want to buy the season pass?


Then you can still get first two new operators, but you'll have to buy them with renown or Rainbow Six points. I'm not certain how much renown it will be but it wouldn't surprise me that it's going to be more than normal. You also get it a week later than season pass users so it might be even harder to play as the new operators when everyone has acces to them. So it does pay off to have the season pass, but you don't need it to get acces to these two new operators. If you have the season pass the operators are free, so you can spend your renown on other things. I'm interested in trying out these new operators and I'm looking forward to other operators, just one more week and you can get early acces!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet!
