Youtube adventures part 2
It's week two and not much has changed, not that I expect that many changes but it's nice to see some changes every now and then. That doesn't mean that I haven't done anything. I have started with new videos about Life is strange, a playthrough where I talk about all kinds of things and hopefully make it an interesting experience for the viewer.
A new project.
It's always interesting to start something new, because it makes you wonder how people will react to that and if they'll like it or not. I must admit that this doesn't influence me that much, because even when people don't like the videos I would keep uploading them as long as I have fun making the videos. On the other hand I would keep making videos about a game if people really want me to, even when I don't enjoy that game that much anymore. I don't mind doing that for some viewers, but I have my limits and if I truly hate a game or if I'm done with a game then you won't see me play that game any time soon!
I started with Life is strange videos, unfortunately with my bad quality videos but hopefully they're still interesting with my commentary. I know that some people hate commentary on videos but when you have low quality videos then you have to give the viewer something unique and that would be my commentary, not that I'm saying that I'm so special but I doubt you'll hear my commentary in the video of someone else!
Life is strange is an interesting game and I really enjoy playing it, but I don't know if I'm going to make videos of all episodes. It's not that I don't want to, but if no one is interested in the videos then it's kind of silly to put so much work in recording. So I first recorded my playthrough in episode one, if people like that and want to see more then I don't mind recording episode two and more episodes after that. Maybe you think I'm lazy but in truth I just hate wasting time and recording videos that people don't like seems like a waste of time. Making a lot of videos, recording an episode takes about eight to ten videos of about fifteen minutes each, also drains a lot of energy I could put in something else and I like to be creative but I would really want to put that energy into something good and not something that could be bad. Maybe I'm just a bit negative here but I know how it goes, I could record about thirty videos about a game and then find out that nobody is interested in that. That leaves me with twentynine other videos that I made and can just throw away. I prefer to avoid that, if possible.
I'll start some new projects in 2016 but first I want to see how things go with Life is strange and also how I can improve things. I'm still working on getting a decent capture card but that's expensive and right now I prefer to invest money on getting games and a new computer. So as much as I like to make better videos I also want to keep my hobby alive, I guess that means that the capture card will have to wait for now. But hopefully I'll get one later this year.
