Games that are released too early?

You often hear how some games are delayed but do you know that some games are released too early? This often has something to do with a marketing strategy, for example if it's a movie game (a game based on a movie) then it makes sense that the developers want to see it released around the time the movie is in the cinema or is available on dvd. But also the time of the year has something to do with it, for example before Christmas a lot of people buy presents and releasing a new game can be a good thing for the sales when people buy these games for their kids or for themselves. Unfortunately this doesn't always mean that the games are in good shape, some of these games even have a lot of issues!

Releasing a game early is a bad thing?

It sounds stupid but it is, because if a game isn't fully tested and in top shape then I don't want to see it released just yet. Games that have bugs, glitches or are just simply put impossible to enjoy are a waste of time, isn't it smarter to wait a couple of months with the release of the game and get those bugs and glitches out? This could mean that the developers miss their deadline but you don't want to release a game that is in bad shape, that makes gamers angry and could even cost the company its reputation!

Delaying a game doesn't mean the game is fixed?

Unfortunately not, because Batman Arkham Knight already proved that no matter how many times you delay a game some games are just not good. I'm not saying that they're bad, but looking at all the issues you have with a game like that means that it's not good and you can only imagine how bad it would've been if they released it on the original launch date. It's quite annoying that you had to wait extra long for a game and then when you finally have it it's not working properly. I don't think I have to explain how much that sucks and how mad that makes some people. So don't automaticly think that games are going to better because they're delayed, it could mean a good thing but there's no guarantee for that!

Games are worth waiting for?

I think so, because a good game is something that makes it all worth it. For example Dragon Age Inquisition kept fans waiting for a long time, so when the game was finally relased a lot of fans played it and love it! I think fans even encouraged Bioware (the developer) to take as much time as they needed for the game, which lead to a fantastic game that I played every day for a month! Unfortunately some games also kept you waiting for a long time but those games weren't worth waiting for, for example do you still remember Duke Nukem Forever? Well I don't blame you  if you want to forget the game, but that game turned out to be bad and I think only some hardcore fans enjoyed that in some way. So once again it's not a guarantee that a game will be good if you have to wait awhile for it, but I still think that it's better that you have to wait for a game a bit longer than getting it early. Why? Because games that are released early often come with bugs and glitches, maybe you're ok with that but I'm not!
