We only get half games these days?

Have you noticed how many games have dlc? Often these are missions or other type of adventures that were left out of the game and can be included into your game if you pay for it. It's a good trick but it's getting quite frustrating when most games you look forward to playing are only half a game instead of a full game, because it will require the dlc to have the full game. I guess a lot of gamers are still willing to pay for that and I don't blame them, you don't want to play half a game and if the game is fun then it makes sense you pay to play, but I can blame some developers for being greedy assholes!


Developers are greedy?


I'm not saying all developers are greedy but there are definitely some out there that deliberately leave out some parts of a game to introduce that as dlc later. It's frustrating to see this happen more and more, because why deliver a full game and only get sixty Dollars/Euros when you can get extra money with dlc and deliver only half a game. Maybe sometimes it can't be avoided, sometimes developers want to release their game and then later you can get dlc for parts that weren't ready yet. I understand that this can happen, but when I look at Assassin's Creed Syndicate where the Jack the Ripper dlc was clearly used as a way to drain more money out of gamers then I know that some developers are really greedy assholes!


Can gamers do something about it?


You would think that you could do something about it but just one person can only do that much, it will take the majority to force them to stop and as long as people keep buying dlc it will never stop. I have to be honest and say that I could never ask that of someone, hell I buy dlc myself so it would be odd to expect others to do that. Besides would that really stop the dlc exploit? I think that there is much we can do as gamers because we are way too devided, I mean people fight online against eachother over stupid stuff like which console is better or annoying other people with early acces to a game and exclusive games. This is exactly why we can't make a fist against these greedy developers, because we stand devided and when you're divided you'll fail to get things done!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
