Looking back at.....the Walking Dead (game)!
When I first saw the Walking Dead game I didn't like it, the way it's drawn and the controls also looked stupid, but it's easy to make that mistake because at first glance it doesn't look that impressive. But if you give this game a chance you'll learn to appreciate the art style, the characters and the story. No action packed game can give you the Walking Dead experience like this game, besides there's still plenty of action going on in the Walking Dead!
When the world goes to hell.
You play as Lee and you're on your way to prison, but the cop car crashes and somehow you survive. That's the start of your struggle to survive and the game has no mercy for mistakes or hesitation, so you better be quick or you're dead! Soon after you meet a girl named Clementine and you take care of her from that point, which is quite the task because a young girl is pretty defenseless against walkers. But also other people you meet will respond to your actions, they will also respond to Clementine and how you treat Clementine.
Living with your choices.
The Walking Dead isn't the type of game that gives you choices and then let you get away with it easily, oh no if you make a choice then you'll know the consequences of that choice and even if that doesn't happen directly then it will happen later in the game. For example when there are two people you can save but you only have time to save one, that can be brutal and you don't have long to think about it. That's rough and I wouldn't be surprised that some people would regret the choices they made, but sometimes you have to make quick decisions and sometimes that leads to unfortunate situations. The people in your survivor group will definitely notice your choices and will say something about that, this can lead to some nice friendships or turn some people against you.
A story that grabs you.
Almost like a walker you could say, because once you're in the story it's difficult to get out just like that. Even if you finish the game the story will leave you thinking and you might even start from the beginning and see you can get a different ending or to make some different choices. It's really a good game and a lot of fun to play, eventhough there are some emotional moments that also grab you. The game is pretty intense and everyone that likes games with good stories and of course the Walking Dead on tv have a great time with this game!
