Far Cry Primal

When I first heard this title I thought it was a joke, a Far Cry game that takes place in the stone age? How can that be a game? Well it seems it's real and the first trailer shows you a bit of what you can expect in this game. For example hunting mammoths or being hunted by a sabertooth tiger. Then there is also the danger of other tribes that will kill you on sight. In the trailer there are other people with you, so if that means that you get co-op remains to be seen.


Are people really excited about this game?


Why not? You can play stone age hunter and do your primal things in the stone age, that could be cool. Hunting animals with just a bow and a spear could be a challenge, I mean in the previous games you had your guns but now you'll have to be a bit more deadly with weapons that will most likely not kill with one hit or have rapid fire. I can see how this game is interesting to some people, eventhough some people would probably rather have a Far Cry game that takes place near our time.


Is this Far Cry 5?


I don't think so, this is more like a stand alone game in the Far Cry series but not one of the numbered games. You could see this as the Blood Dragon game for Far Cry 3 and that game is pretty popular! So maybe Far Cry Primal is that type of game for Far Cry 4. So everyone who is upset with this game doesn't have to worry, Far Cry 5 will most likely take place near our own time. At least that's what I think, no guarantees though...


When can you expect this game?


In the trailer they mentioned 2016 so that's not that far from now, but as you know sometimes games can be delayed because of certain reasons. I know that some people also complain that Far Cry games are being released almost every year, well I think there's a bit more time between the titles but I guess it can that way when games look a bit the same. For example Far Cry 3 and 4 have several similarities and two years after Far Cry 3 you got Far Cry 4, so it's not odd for some people to think that Far Cry games are being tossed at us every year. Eventhough it's not true! I don't know if this game will be fun to play, too early to say, but it looks interesting and it's something different then running with your gun around.

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
