Summer game tip: Destiny 2

It might seem weird that I suggest playing Destiny 2 after my rant about Bungie yesterday but that was a rant against Bungie, I actually enjoy playing Destiny 2 and it's a fun game. Maybe not exactly as I hoped it would be but it's still fun to play! A great game to play to get through boring moments and just have a great adventure or building up your character in the game.

Destiny 2 is your adventure?

Yes it is your adventure and you decide what you do. Do you want to patrol in an area? Do you want to hunt for treasure chests? Do you want to track public events and take part in them? Do you want to team up with others and do a strike? Do you want to play against other players in PvP? Do you just want to explore the maps and discover new things? It's all possible in Destiny 2, which makes the game so much fun. It's also fun that now the legendary and exotic drops are less rare, you have a better chance to get some good loot and eventhough some quests might be hard or even impossible on your own there is still a lot you can do on your own. What I really enjoy about Destiny 2 is improving my guardians. So increasing their light levels, getting better gear and discovering new things. I've already gotten several strange and interesting exotic weapons that I didn't even know existed. This makes the game so much more fun and it really makes you want to go out there and discover more!

The game is better with friends?

Destiny 2 is just like Destiny better with friends. Not only does this make the game a lot easier but it also gives you acces to everything. For example the nightfall strike is only for people that can form their own team, there is no matchmaking, and there is at least one exotic quest, which gets you an exotic weapon, where you need to team up with other people. This doesn't mean that you can't play the game on your own, but it will make it harder for you or even impossible to get certain things on your own. The adventure of Destiny 2 is big and there is so much to do and so much to discover. Every day you can keep yourself busy with challenges, looting chests, joining public events, hanging around in the crucible (PvP) or just playing missions. These are all things you can do on your own, so imagine bringing in some friends which should make things even more fun.

Destiny 2 is worth checking out?

Absolutely! If you like the first game then you'll love the sequel. If you had issues with Destiny not being solo friendly then you'll encounter those issues also in Destiny 2, but the good thing is that the game offers you a lot of other things and that does make it a bit less frustrating. Destiny 2 is a fun game that can easily keep you busy for weeks if not months, I guess it really depends how much you want to get out of the game and of course if you have friends to play with. On your own you'll most likely get tired of the game a bit faster but I think it's safe to say that you'll be happy with the game for at least two weeks if not more. There is enough to do and enough to discover to keep you busy that long! The Summer is almost over but that doesn't have to stop the fun!
