Sinful Sunday: Pay to play with someone?
I know that it's not always easy to make friends online, even offline it can be hard when you go to a new school or a new job, but it really surprised me when I heard that people actually pay other people to play games with them. Apparently there is a market where people pay other people to play games with them. I say people but from what I've seen and heard it's mostly women that offer to play games with you if you pay them. You should do with your money what you want but honestly paying someone to play a game with you? That just seems wrong to me!
You pay someone to play a game with you?
It's true, no matter how crazy it sounds. But is it truly that crazy? I mean there are a lot of people out there that don't have any friends to play games with and if you have a hard time making friends then this can be a solution. An expensive solution though if you have to pay for every time you want to play with someone else. It seems like a nice thing to do, offer to play with other people for a small financial compensation. But in my opinion it's taking advantage of how some people are desperate to make friends or want to play games with other people. It's not against the rules, for as far as I know, but it's just wrong in my opinion. I think most people that pay to play with someone else really want to make new friends or maybe even want more but have no luck with that, so they turn to the pay to play with someone system and hope that this might work out for them. As much fun as it can be you're actually paying someone to play with you, this isn't your friend but someone that you hire to play a game with you. If you're hoping that this person will be your real friend then I wouldn't put my hopes up high because it's business and that usually doesn't go well with friendship. So if you want to pay to have someone play a game with you then please keep that in mind. You're paying for their time and if you're ok with that then by all means pay. I just hope you don't regret it later.
Young attractive women are popular with gamers?
I think they're popular everywhere but gamers seem to really have an interest in this because as far as I've seen and heard most people that offer to play games with you if you pay them are women. So apparently there is a market there and some clever women have discovered that and probably making a nice profit out of it. I guess for some guys, who are socially awkward or just really shy, this can be a way to play games with girls. I would advice them to go outside and meet people in real life but if this works for them then I'm not going to tell them that they're wrong. I personally wouldn't want to pay any money for that. If nobody wants to play a game with me then so be it, but I wouldn't want to pay someone to play games with me. No matter who they are.
Is it wrong to ask money if someone wants to play a game with you?
I think it is, because you're taking advantage of people. If someone is lonely or really wants to play games with other people and he or she has no friends then it seems like some people could easily take advantage of this person. I understand that this is business and that this is apparently ok to some people, but in my opinion it's wrong because you want people to pay you to play with them. That makes you bad in my book, because if you're really a nice person then you wouldn't ask money for that. If you want to help people then you don't demand payment, then you do it for free. But like I said before this is business so I doubt that there is any room for kindness. Maybe some people think it's totally worth it and would love to pay these people to play games with them. I think that there are better ways to meet other people and try to make lasting friendships. But I guess we all have our own way of getting somewhere.
