People complain about free games?
Yesterday I was watching a video on YouTube where I saw what the free games are going to be on Xboxlive for people with a gold membership. After watching the video I checked the comments, sometimes it can be interesting to read those, and to my surprise a lot of people aren't just ungrateful but also upset with the free games of September. So people are upset with a game that they can play for free, a game they don't have to play or do anything with but is there for people who want to play it. It doesn't cost you anything extra, it's an extra bonus if you have a gold membership (which does cost you money), but there are still people complaining. That is just something that blows my mind, people that just never seem to be happy and somehow always find something to whine about.
Why would you be upset with free games?
My guess is that these people wished for other games to be free, I guess it sucks when the free games aren't games you're interested in but that doesn't mean you have to give people hate or complain. Nobody forces you to play these games, they're there for people who are interested and other people can wait for October and hopefully then you get free games that you do like. I've tried games I wasn't certain about and discovered some really fun games that way. For example Sleeping Dogs and Murdered Soul Suspect are two games that were for free on Xboxlive and I really enjoyed playing both games. What makes it extra sweet is how those games are for free, so you never payed any money for a game that is actually a lot of fun to play. Of course there will be months that the free games aren't really what you're interested in. For example I won't be interested in Forza 5, a free game in September, but that doesn't mean I'm going to complain. I've played a lot of free games on Xboxlive thanks to my gold membership and even if one month doesn't have games that I'm interested in then there is always another month where there could be games I would be more interested in. I think people sometimes complain way too much or complain too quickly for something that is free. If you got a virus from a free game on Xboxlive then you've got something to complain about, but if it's a free game and you don't like it then get over it!
Try a free game before you whine about it?
I wasn't always certain about certain games, I wasn't certain if I would like them but that didn't keep me from trying these games anyway. Only games I knew for certain I wouldn't like I wouldn't play, for example certain race or sport games. Sometimes a game can be a lot of fun but you have to be willing to give the game a chance. Even if it's a game you would never buy yourself then you have to keep in mind that you can play this game for free, the only thing it will cost is some of your time to find out if you like it or not. If the game sucks then you can ignore it and if it is fun then you just got a new game for free and you can enjoy playing it. I really don't see how this is a problem for some people. I guess some people have gotten spoiled and expect the newest games to be free, but I doubt that will happen any time soon. Besides there are also a lot of good deals for gold members, so if the game you really want isn't for free then check the discount area and see which games are on sale. They might not be free but only paying half the price for a game you really want to play still seems like a good deal to me!
