Logic in games that makes no sense at all!
Have you ever played a game and wondered what the hell just happened? Perhaps you've been playing games for so long that these things don't bother you anymore but sometimes I see things and it just annoys me. Maybe I'm just a whiny bitch but honestly certain things should make sense, even in a game!
Food heals you?
This is one of those silly moments we all seem to accept, but in truth it makes no sense at all. I have to admit that this doesn't really bother me, but it's still weird how this logic works. If I cut my hand then it doesn't heal if I eat a carrot. But in games food often heals you, either immediately or heals you over time. It's silly but it's a game logic that has been there from almost the very beginning and I don't think people sometimes realize how silly this is. A good alternative would be medicine or bandages which should offer some relief. There are games that work with this, for example when you're bleeding you need to treat the wound properly or else you'll die. No matter how much food you stuff in your mouth it won't stop the bleeding.
Fat enemies can take more damage?
This is something that annoys me a lot. Just because an enemy is fat you suddenly have to hit this enemy a lot more, even with headshots they still seem to be able to take more damage. Last time I checked fat isn't the best defense. Especially with headshots the fat shouldn't even play a role. When I play Fortnite and some fat scumbags are marching on your walls and you just unload a clip in one of these fuckers you know that you're dealing with bullshit! I'm not talking about armored enemies though, I'm definitely talking about characters in a game that are just fat and have no other protection. Somehow game logic is that fat enemies are tougher to beat, even if you hit them in the head. This absolutely makes no sense at all and I find it frustrating to deal with. Maybe body shots would be less effective, eventhough armored rounds should blast through any fat bastard. I guess sometimes developers just like it simple or hold on to dumb logic.
Hive mind enemies?
This is so frustrating, when you're spotted by one enemy then suddenly everyone knows you're there. I know that in some games there is a good explanation for this. For example in Metal Gear Solid games the guards will warn eachother and have check in moments, when someone doesn't respond there will be guards that check out what happened to the person that isn't responding and if they spot something suspicious they'll contact headquarters. But there are also games where enemies just automaticly know you're there and can track you through walls and other objects without having a line of sight on you. Very annoying and something that can ruin a game in my opinion!
Infinite spawning enemies or enemies you can't kill?
It pretty much comes down to the same shit, you have constantly enemies you have to deal with. I know there are tactics to avoid or stun but honestly in a lot of games you want to clear rooms, this way you can move on to the next room without having to worry about the previous room. Games like Silent Hill: the room has ghosts that you can't kill and you can only impale them with a sword to keep them in place. Otherwise they can chase you all over the map and eventhough walls, which is very annoying! Then there are enemies that just keep spawning which is just dumb, I mean if you just killed the enemies in an area then it's lame if you have to deal with them again and again and again and...well you get the idea. In games nothing stays dead forever, I mean just look at some of the villains in certain games. They always come back, but then again a lot of fans are upset when that villain finally is truly dead. So maybe there is a no win situation here. I know that I wasn't happy when they killed off Wesker in Resident Evil 5, such a cool and interesting villain and then you get some lame douchebag in Resident Evil 6. Can we at least agree that the flunkies stay dead? That would be nice because having to deal with the same enemies all the time is such a waste of time and ammo!
There are other things that make no sense or are utter bullshit but often these are based on bugs or glitches. For example an enemy that hits you through a wall or can move through walls, enemies that take no damage while they should take damage or enemies that are actually floating and attacking you from an unfair position. This can also ruin a game for you and it's also bullshit but these are bugs and glitches, which is hopefully something we can fix. The other issues are usually part of a game or multiple games, which means you have to accept that. I love playing games but some games can make you punch your tv in pure frustration. But it's not cheap to buy a new tv every week so I try to control that urge, otherwise I have no money to buy any new games!
