Sinful Sunday: Grabbing women in their private parts?

No doubt you heard the latest news of a certain douchebag that wants to be president of a certain country, oh I won't use names but I think we all know who I'm talking about. This guy said that it's ok to grab women in their pussy. I feel disgusted just typing that but apparently it's ok if I have to believe this guy, but it's a good thing I don't believe that guy and I wouldn't do that myself. But this douchebag does show how some men see women and how far we still have to go to get equality.

Why do some men see women like objects?

Well I'm not a shrink so I can't give you the details but I guess some men just like to be stuck in the dark ages, you know when women couldn't vote and where only good for getting kids. At least that's how a lot of men saw women back then and women couldn't really fight back because that wasn't tolerated at all. Now hundreds of years further you would think that we have matured, that things are better now but the whole pussy grabbing incident shows that it's not that much better now. Because some men still see women as objects they can do with what they want and that's disturbing. Especially when they have an important part in the community and influence that can actually do more harm than good. So seeing this type of behaviour in the higher regions of society makes it quite obvious that there are also men (often still boys) that treat women badly as well, wether that's online or when they go outside. I think one of the main reasons why some men treat women badly is because they think they can get away with it, I mean who is going to stop them? If someone online says bad things about women who is going to stop this person? First you would have to find out who this person is and then you would have to find a way to stop this person from putting his ignorance on the internet. Unfortunately you can't really stop that, which is a shame but unfortunately it's true.

Online things are even worse for some women?

I'm not a woman myself so I couldn't really say for certain but I've heard stories from friends how some women are being bullied or treated badly for just being there. For example when someone plays a game and then when the other hear that this person is a woman that they'll bully her. Why? Because some people apparently like being a douchebag online, but I think it pretty much comes down to some people being assholes to other people for no other reason than them being an asshole. I can see how things are worse for women online because there is less control, people will pretty much say what they want and think that they can get away with it and most of the time they would be right. But if you go too far with certain things and put your hate online then you might find yourself in trouble because you're not as anonymous as you might think! It bothers me when guys makes is unpleasant for women to play games online, because women want to have fun playing games just like men and why not? They have just as much right to be there as men and have a good time playing games. It's a shame that things are still unfair, that women still have to deal with bullshit in their lives but hopefully it makes them stronger and one day there will be a time that men and women will be equal. Maybe it's just an illusion but it's one I would like to believe in and fight for to make it real.
