Overwatch isn't as good as I first thought?

I know that multiplayer games are more fun if you play them with friends, but sometimes you don't have friends that play games or play the same games as you. That means that you either play the game on your own or not play it at all. But multiplayer games offer you teams, you can team up with other people and if you work well together you can win. But how well do you work with other people in a team when there is no communication and people all go their own way?

Overwatch is difficult to enjoy as a solo player?

Unfortunately it is, because a lot of matches I played were lost because of your team not working as a team and not because the other team was much better. What's worse is that people who play alone (not in a group) often encounter people who play in a group and if your whole team exists out of people that aren't in a group then you can bet your ass on it that it will be difficult to beat the team that is in a group because they will communicate and work together while your team will mostly not do that. But somehow in Overwatch I find myself a lot of times in random teams, nobody is in a group and nobody communicates, and I face teams that are in a group. That's frustrating to say the least because at least half of those matches you lose. Why? Because they work together as a team and your team often doesn't, which is why I wish that there would be matchmaking where people in random teams face other random teams. That keeps things fair and that way people that are in teams can play against eachother and people that aren't in teams can play against eachother and that should keep things a bit more fun.

Matchmaking in Overwatch is garbage?

That's an understatement! The amount of times I joined a match in progress is beyond ridiculous and before I could even pick a character then you already see defeat show up on the screen. So I pretty much joined a losing match and there wasn't even anything I could do to help. But then there is also the fragile system of getting a match started, you see if only one person is missing in one team the entire match can get cancelled which means that all the work you did counts for nothing because you don't even get experience for the time you put in the match. This is the worst in ranked mode where a person leaving, wether on your team or the other team cancels the match and makes you very annoyed. But also in quick play it sucks that you can't start the match because one team is a man short, instead of just starting the match and fill in the empty slot as fast as possible you get kicked back to the menu screen. This is rough when you already spend five minutes in skirmish waiting for a match and then when you finally find one you get kicked out of it because one person left. It's difficult to enjoy playing a game if this happens a lot!

Overwatch players are the worst?

In all honesty I don't think that it's just Overwatch players, some people are just toxic and absolutely not fun to play with. Wether they're on your team or the other team it's frustrating to play a game with them. Especially the type that sees it as his or her mission to annoy other people instead of actually being useful in a match. Lately I keep seeing people show up in matches that do nothing but keep spamming the hello emote and just abandon their team and do nothing else. Then there are people that just completely ignore the objective and see Overwatch as a team deathmatch game and pretty prove to be useless at that as well. Then there are the trash talkers, the agressive douchebags that you mute immediately and the trolls that sing or play music in their microphone. It doesn't matter how much fun a game is, with people like that in your game it's just not worth playing it anymore. If this would happen like once or twice a week then that would just be unfortunately, but this happens every day and a lot during that day. This makes playing Overwatch even less fun, especially if you have to grind your way up to the next level for a loot box that will most likely contain a lot of grey and maybe one blue item and half of them are duplicates. But hey you can always buy more! Yeah I don't think so...
