Movie Monday: Jason Bourne

This is the fourth movie in the Jason Bourne series with Matt Damon and the fifth in the Jason Bourne series, but is it as good as one of the first movies? It's difficult to say because eventhough there is a lot going on and you learn once again more about Jason Bourne but things seem to be a bit rushed in this movie. That keeps things fast and interesting but sometimes leaves moments in the story kind of awkward.


This isn't the best Jason Bourne movie?


In my opinion the first movie is the best movie, but that definitely doesn't make Jason Bourne a bad movie. I think it's an improvement than the previous movie (the Bourne Identity) which with all respect for the actors in that movie felt a bit different mostly because Jason Bourne wasn't in that movie, but in all honesty Jason Bourne feels once again as a real part of the Jason Bourne movies and that's how it should be! I think for fans that have seen the previous Jason Bourne movies that this is a movie you would want to see, not just because it's a good movie but also because it gives you more information about the main character and what is going on in his life.


Does the movie have interesting characters?


Well Jason Bourne is an interesting character but can you say the same about the other characters in the movie? Well the bad guys, crooked government types, are the typical bad guys that try to cover their own ass while they try to take out Bourne. This is nothing new and the introduction of another asset (in the movie you only know him as the asset) kind of makes me a bit tired of these characters, especially when they come up with a story that ties him to something that happened in the past of Jason Bourne. I do like the introduction of Heather Lee, played by Alicia Vikander, because you never really know if she's a good person or if she's a bad person.


Is it worth checking this movie out?


I think it is, mostly because it's nice action packed movie that is fun to watch. Sure it's not the extreme action movie that some people like but it does give you some intense chases and fight scenes that are quite interesting. I can't help but hope for another Jason Bourne movie and hopefully this one will be just as good or even better, it's definitely a movie for you if want to see action and excitement!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
