Being forced to play games with other people?

I'm not going to lie, I prefer to play games on my own and even in multiplayer I prefer to go my own way instead of being a part of the team. Maybe it's just the lone wolf in me that wants to do things on his own but I know that sometimes it's better and smarter to team up with other people. The thing is that when you're forced to do this, for example in a co-op game mode where you have to work together to survive or win, that people are often more likely to rage quit or just give up on the team than in an optional team mode.

People don't like to play with other people?

Sometimes I get that idea and I can't say that I blame them, sometimes it's just more fun to play on your own. Maybe some people disagree and prefer to play with other people but these people are often playing with their friends or they're part of a clan or a group of people that like to play games together. When you're a random player in a team full of other random players then things can be tough, do people actually talk and will people try to work together or is everyone going his or her own way? Sometimes I see people trying to work together, but without communication that isn't easy. If the other team is communicating or at least working together than the random team of people without communication and teamwork is going to be in trouble! But what's strange is that some people say they prefer to play games on their own and yet they're in a multiplayer game in a team. If you really don't like playing with other people then why don't you stick to single player? Even if you play multiplayer then it might be smarter to play the game mode deathmatch aka free for all where no one is in a team and the best player wins. But no somehow people that don't like being in a team with other people show up in a team and then do their best to not be helpful or work against the team.

Multiplayer isn't for lone wolves?

I don't think that's true, a lone wolf could actually help a lot if he or she is good. If you're not so good then it might be smart to stick with your team, because if you keep dying then you're not really helping your team. We all have bad matches or just bad moments where things go wrong, but you often know yourself how good or how bad you are. It's nothing to be ashamed of but it's probably better not to play the action hero and charge into battle every time and get yourself killed. That's doesn't help the team and it definitely doesn't help you!

Is it a good thing to be forced to play with other people?

Maybe forced isn't the right word, I mean you decide to play the game and play a certain game mode. So it's not really forced is it? Sure it sucks when you have to work together with other people when you prefer to play on your own but certain games just seem to work better if you play as a team and you'll see that you have more succes if you work together as a team. So if you have to play with other people then it's probably a good thing to make the most of that instead of trying your best to not be a part of the team. If you really hate playing with other people then you probably shouldn't play multiplayer games, because there's a good chance you're going to meet other people in multiplayer games and they'll be a part of your team wether you like it or not!
