Youtube adventures part 14
When you post videos on youtube there's always a good chance that there will be people that dislike the video or leave negative comments, there's not much you can do about that and that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Ok some people don't like your videos, does that really surprise you? You can't make everyone happy with your videos and sooner or later you will encounter people that will just dislike your video. Why? Because they can. It's not even about accepting negativity but it's more about...
Dealing with negativity
When you make low quality videos like me then you can bet your ass on it that sooner or later people will dislike or even leave negative comments behind. Which is fine with me, it has never affected me that it made me want to quit posting videos. Something some of these negative people wouldn't mind seeing. It's a shame when someone doesn't like your video but it's not the end of the world, I take it you didn't upload a video to make everyone smile because that's pretty much impossible. It's nice when you make people happy with your video, just don't expect everyone to feel that way about it.
Even on the funniest videos or helpful videos you get negativity. Why? Because people can and as long as that's possible it will always happen. Did you make an achievement guide? Well don't be surprised if someone will dislike it or starts hating on the game or even the console you're playing on in the comments. In a way youtube comments are a toxic pit of disgusting filth, as a sane and nice person you don't want to be anywhere near that. But sometimes the comments are the only way to communicate with the youtuber, so I can understand why some people still try to communicate with others in the comments.
Not everyone is bad though, there are definitely nice comments and also people that will appreciate your video and give it a like. It's rough though if you want likes and get nothing, which is why I will definitely recommend you not to ask for likes. Some people actually give a dislike if you ask for a like and I can't really blame them. If you really like the video you will most likely leave a like, you don't have to ask for that!
Some people will just hate your video, maybe because they're having a bad day or maybe because they just don't like your video. It happens to everyone and sometimes the dislikes will win from the likes and that can be tough on a youtuber. But don't let that keep you from posting another video, sure some people will hate it but there might also be people that like it. If you never post that video then you'll never know. So don't be afraid to keep making and posting videos, especially if that makes you happy.
