Games that don't have a real ending

Something I really hate is a game that doesn't have a real ending, oh sure there will be an ending cinematic but it doesn't really give you the answers you wanted or leave you with a satisfied feeling of accomplishment. You beat the game and then it's the end...or not?

Some games have multiple endings?

That's right, some games have multiple endings but suprisingly only one of those endings can be the true ending and so the ending you really want. Unfortunately that's easier said than done, because you can't always notice the true ending until you actually saw it, so it means you might have to play the game multiple times to get that true ending. Maybe some people like that and if there are achievements/trophies or other rewards for that then perhaps it might even be worth it but I can't say I'm super excited about that. It's nice when a game can keep you busy for some time but after spending days, maybe even weeks, in a game then you want to get a good ending and not a load of bollocks where you get an ending that doesn't give you the feeling like you won.

The true ending is sometimes in dlc?

This is probably the biggest fuck you a developer can give you, because if you want the true ending then you'll have to pay extra and that just sucks. If you buy a game you want to at least have a beginning and an ending in a game, because without that then what the hell are you even playing? I know that it's a smart trick to get people back into the game or have them buy the dlc, but really dlc should be adding something extra and not giving you the ending that should've been in the game already! Fallout 3 is one of those games where the ending kind of sucks, but hey there's dlc and suddenly the ending is better. But you do have to pay for that, sorry. Oh wait they're not sorry! I like it when developers breath new life in a game, continue the story where you left off, but at least give people a satisfying ending in the main game because if I have to pay dlc to get the true ending it just makes me wish I never played the game!

Some games just don't have a real ending?

If there's one thing I really hate about games it's not getting an ending that I like, which means all the hours I put in the game were pretty much for nothing! I like to get a feeling of accomplishment when I beat a game, achievements help with that but also getting a nice ending to the game is something that makes me feel good. Then it doesn't feel like I spend a week inside and hardly had any contact with the outside world, I did something in the game and it mattered! Well at least to me. But then there comes the shitty ending or even games that don't have a real ending and you're left broken and disappointed. Seriously why do some developers do this to people? Oh maybe there will be a sequel but do you really want to wait several years to see what happens next to the story or do you just want to get a satisfying ending in the game right now? Games, sometimes you love them and sometimes you hate them...
