Now is the time to play Evolve?
Evolve is a game I haven't played for more than a year, mostly because I was done with it after a week. Not that it's a bad game but because I got most of the achievements and didn't feel like going for the remaining ones. But there's a pretty good deal on Xboxlive if you're a gold member and have the Xbox One, Evolve is now ridiculously cheap and also the hunter season pass 1 and 2 are very cheap. So if you ever wanted to play Evolve or you have already played Evolve and you're curious about the dlc then now is the time to play Evolve!
What is Evolve?
In case you never heard about this game, never played this game or you completely forgot about this game then let me quickly tell you about Evolve. In Evolve you play either as one of four hunters or as the monster, the idea is a one vs four situation where you win if you beat the other(s) or complete the objective. You can play offline, you against bots, or online, you against other players, and earn achievements/trophies either way. It can be a pretty intense game when you're hunting the monster as one of four hunters and you know he or she is close but don't know exactly where he or she is. So it's a good thing that every hunter has special skills and abilities that help you track and kill the monster or help your team mates with healing or other buffs. In the original Evolve game you already had a total of twelve hunters and three monsters, with all the dlc you get a total twentyfour hunters and seven monsters. So that should keep you busy for quite some time! You have different game modes, for example hunt: where you track the monster and kill it or as the monster become big and strong and then kill the hunters, nest: where you as the monster hatch eggs and kill the hunters or as the hunters destroy the eggs and minions or the monster, rescue: as the hunters you need to save NPCs on the map while as the monster you try to kill them, evacuation: this is a campaign of a total of five missions where the winner gets a benefit after each round and it's all decided in the final round and then the winner takes all. The arena mode was added later but here you face the monster or as the monster you face the hunters directly in a mobile arena and you fight to the death. After every round you move on to another round until you are the winner.
Why would you buy Evolve and/or the dlc?
Because it's a fun game, I got back into it yesterday and I had a blast playing as the new hunters and trying out the new monsters. It's actually a lot of fun and definitely worth checking out for such a low price. It's probably best to play this game with friends because if you play too much offline you might get bored with it eventually, but it's a good way to earn some easy achievements/trophies! Evolve is a fun game, especially if you're completely new to this game and have to figure things out. Because it can be pretty tense and then the feeling of victory is even sweeter! I know that a lot of people are negative about this game and I'm not trying to trick you here, I'm honestly recommending an underestimated game that is actually fun to play. It's probably a good idea to check Xboxlive and see if you're interested, it's a pretty good deal and it will only last for a week so you might want to hurry! Anyway good luck and have fun!
