Assassin´s Creed Unity isn´t for lone wolves?
If you played all the other Assassin´s Creed games then you´ve probably spend a lot of time playing these games on your own, oh sure there is multiplayer in some of them but that´s not quite the same as the cooperative gameplay that Unity has. So why would a lone wolf even bother buying this game?
First of all, Assassin´s Creed Unity can be played in cooperative mode but you can also play solo. So if you want you don´t have to deal with other people if you don´t want to, you´ll probably miss out on some missions and not getting some achievements/trophies but at least you can play the game. Which is nice because it sucks when you´re forced to play with others. No matter how much fun a game can be playing with others, sometimes you just want to play solo and play in your own pace.
Let´s not forget that this game introduces cooperative gameplay in the story mode, so it might be interesting to check that out. Even if you´re a lone wolf it might be interesting to try playing with others, you never know you might even like it! If not then you can at least try to complete the cooperative missions and get those multiplayer achievements/trophies! I´ve played modes in games that I didn´t even want to, but sometimes getting an achievement or trophy can persuade you to do so anyway.
When I look at the dlc for Assassin´s Creed Unity then I have a feeling that this isn´t all based on cooperative gameplay, especially the dlc that takes place in China. That one looks different anyway, so it might be worth checking that out. It might be that they squeeze multiplayer into this but I don´t see that happen for all the dlc, I´m pretty certain that Ubisoft realizes that there are also lone wolves out there that prefer to play games on their own.
So don´t be discouraged by the cooperative gameplay and videos you see, this isn´t forced on you and you can definitely enjoy the game playing on your own. I´d love to check it out as soon as I´m able to, because the French revolution is an amazing historical period in time that seems perfect for an Assassin´s Creed game. And you might not want to miss out on the fresh gameplay when it comes to combat and decending from a building! So what are you waiting for? Get your cloak and sharpen your hidden blade (it might sound dirty but I´m actually talking about the real blade) because November the 11th is getting close!
