I hate Monday: Team killing fucktards!
Is there anything more annoying than a guy or girl on your team that decides to shoot you instead of the enemy? Not only is that annoying but it gives away your position as well. In some games friendly fire is automaticly on which means they can also kill you, which goes unpunished in most games. Some just do it for fun but in all honesty I think these are just sad people with no life, because why on earth would you should your team mate for no reason at all? Oh right you're a sad loser, now it makes a lot more sense!
Why are people shooting their team mates?
There could be multiple reasons, it's easy to assume that someone is just a douchebag and kills you on sight just for his or her own amusement but I think sometimes there are also other reasons. For example you're holding a weapon they want and so they kill you to get it, instead of asking they think that killing you is the best way to get what they want. I've seen that happen in Halo multiplayer and Fortnite Battle Royale (squad mode). It's such a selfish and dumb thing to do but as long as people aren't being punished for that behaviour I really don't see this stopping, I'd say more people will end up doing that because it's easier to shoot a team mate than opening your mouth and actually talking. I guess talking is difficult for some people, which already says a lot about what kind of people are playing these kind of games. But you should keep in mind that there are also assholes that just shoot team mates for fun, they're bored and apparently being a dick to your team mates is their way of fun. I've seen it happen in Rainbow Six Siege so many times that some random douchebag opens fire on you for no reason at all, apparently you were there and he or she was bored so that totally justifies team killing in the eyes of a moron. On top of that when a team mate downs you but doesn't kill you they'll teabag you and have all the fun in the world. On top of that they often get away with it because team killing isn't always being punished in most games so unless you have a lot of faith in reporting that player, I wouldn't have faith in reporting players because it feels like nobody does anything with that information because you'll run into the same people over and over again and they keep being the same team killing fucktard in every match, you either have to get lucky that you find some decent people to play with or move to another game that hopefully doesn't have morons in it that want to kill you while you're in the same team.
People sometimes make mistakes?
It happens, sometimes you kill a team mate while you didn't mean to. It has happened to me a couple of times in Rainbow Six Siege. What happened was that I was sneaking behind the enemy team for a surprise flank attack when I suddenly heard a noise behind me. So I turn and shoot to get the fastest possible kill but then it turned out it was a team mate who followed me. This person never talked, never let me know that he was with me or what he was planning. In a game like Rainbow Six Siege communication is important, so no communication can lead to some unpleasant moments. If I'm not in the middle of a fight I will apologize and move on. I had no intention of killing my team mate but accidents happen and kill cams often show that it was an accident. But when you see someone aim for your head and they can clearly see that you're on their team and they still shoot you then you know that it's not an accident, it's just a sad sack of shit. If the game doesn't have kill cams, for example Fortnite Battle Royale, then it's not always easy to determine if someone killed you on purpose or if it was an accident. Considering that you light up on the map like a Christmas tree and if you're communicating then it shouldn't happen, unless you jump in front of someone that is shooting an enemy. In squad mode in Fortnite Battle Royale you also don't die immediately if you have team mates still alive, so if it was an accident then he or she can pick you up. If it happens multiple times or they shoot you while you're down then you know that this person is either a moron or a team killing fucktard. Either way it's not someone that should be playing that game!
How do you deal with team killers?
I guess you can shoot them but unless you know someone to be a team killer and having the intent on killing you then it would make you the team killer for killing someone just like that. The best thing you can do is play with friend and if you have no friends that play that game then you should keep in mind that sometimes you get team killers in your team, there isn't much you can do about it. Sure you can report them but do you feel like that is going to keep them out of the game? A lot of these people play on alternate accounts which means that they can easily log in with another account if their team killing account gets banned from the game. It's not easy for developers to deal with these kind of people but doing nothing seems like a bad thing. Either get rid of friendly fire or punish team killers more severely. In the meantime you might want to avoid certain games or game modes just to be safe. If you do decide to play certain games and/or game modes then I hope you have a thick skin because somehow there is always a team killer around. Jut block, ignore and report them. Unfortunately that's the most you can do. Of course you can try to get revenge on them but that might be exactly what he or she wants, that you become a team killing fucktard just like him or her. Don't let your fun be ruined by a moron, people like that aren't even worth the trouble of dealing with. Just let them be the sad sacks of shit that they are and life will sooner or later catch up with them, either they grow up or die as an old sad sack of shit. Who really gives a shit? As if I would care about some immature douchebag from the other side of the world, just have fun with your game and ignore the trolls and other losers. It's often the best way to deal with these kind of people.
