Game tip: The Witcher 3
If you're playing games on the Xbox One and you have a gold membership then there's a sweet deal for you, the Witcher 3 game of the year edition (with all the dlc) for twenty Euros! I know that in the past I wasn't too optimistic about this game, I had a bad time with the Witcher 2 so I didn't have much faith in the Witcher 3. But I gave the game a chance last year and it turned out to be one of the best games I've played in a long time! So yeah I can definitely recommend the Witcher 3 to you, especially the game of the year edition for such a cheap price!
It's more than just a game?
Of course it's a game but at the same time it's so much more! I remember playing the game for the first time and just getting sucked into the story and you just can't stop playing. Imagine Skyrim but then in third person with more mature content and an even better story. That might be hard to imagine but it's true! As Geralt of Rivia you start on a long quest to find Ciri and save her from some douchebag elf that wants to use her powers for his own selfish needs. In every town or almost every place that has people in it has quests and adventures, things you can discover and things you can do. You can also decide the look of Geralt, eventhough that's a bit limited it's still fun that you can create your own type of Geralt. What kind of person Geralt is going to be depends on you, for example are you the cold hearted witcher that does anything for gold or do you show mercy when you can? It all fits into this one game that is absolutely amazing! There is never a boring moment and always something to do. Even if you get through the story, eventually, then there are two dlc adventures that are absolutely worth checking out as well. Hearts of Stone is a really interesting story where you meet a mysterious being called Gaunter O'Dimm who has a task for you and you're pretty much forced to do it. Blood and Wine is a bit less dark but still very good, you have to stop a mysterious monster from murdering people in a town and get familiar with new customs and people.
What makes the Witcher 3 so good?
That you can do what you want to do, that it's your adventure and you can lead it the way you want to. There are also no good choices sometimes, there are times that you just have to pick the lesser of two evils. These choices can have big consequences, which I found out the hard way in my first playthrough. The Witcher 3 will keep you busy for quite some time! You can easily spend weeks in this game and not get bored. Which is perfect for moments when you have no money for a new game and you're looking for a fun and affordable game. Honestly if you've never played a Witcher game then this is a good game to start with, it's absolutely worth checking out and it doesn't matter if you haven't played the previous games. It's nice when you have some background info but it never makes the game confusing or less enjoyable. So for twenty Euros you can have an amazing game, that seems like a pretty good deal to me!
