I hate Monday: When someone is rage quitting
There was a time and a place that gamers weren't a bunch of whiny sad sack of shit douchebags, oh I'm not saying that all the gamers are whiny sad sack of shit douchebags but looking at the amount of rage quitters these days you do get the feeling that there are a lot of whiny sad sack of shit douchebags playing games, but unfortunately times change and not always in a good way.
Why are there so many rage quitters?
Because that's the type of people that are considered as the majority in the world of games? At least if you look at certain game genres. In every first person or third person shooter, sport game, race game and fighting game you have these losers that can't handle the fact that they've been beaten or that things aren't going the way they want to and so they rage quit. Because that's what a baby would do, they would rage quit at the first sign of trouble. Of course it sucks when you lose but if you can't handle losing then maybe you shouldn't play online competitive multiplayer. Sooner or later you'll lose and not every opponent will be a gracious winner, sometimes it's going to be an annoying jackass that has to teabag or do some other dumb shit. If you don't want to deal with that then don't play these kind of games. Rage quitting halfway in a match is sad, even more sad than the moron that keeps teabagging or whatever this person is doing. But rage quitting seems to be the way to handle frustration or just disappointment. Things aren't going the way you want it to go? Well it's time to rage quit! That seems to be the mentality of a lot of gamers these days. Imagine trying to win a war with people like that. Oh darn things aren't going so well, oh well let's just leave and hope that the enemy won't take all our stuff. Yeah that really makes you wish that we never get another war or we'll be screwed!
Rage quitters have always been there?
I'm pretty certain that there have always been rage quitters, people that can't handle defeat and rage at their computer or console when they keep losing. Now with online gaming it results in people rage quitting which is pretty much a big fuck you to the other players. But from my memory and experience the amount of rage quitters wasn't that big a decade ago, sure there were already rage quitters but not as numerous as they are now. Just look at a game like Overwatch and you'll see how many rage quitters there are in just one game. Honestly I've never played a game that had so many rage quitters in it. Last week I played four Junkenstein's revenge matches in a row and in all four there was at least one person that was rage quitting and for no reason at all. I mean we weren't losing or doing badly. Someone just decides to leave for no reason at all. Which kind of makes me believe that it's also a way for people to troll other players. To play with them for some time and then towards the end they leave to try and screw the team over. Which is really a piece of shit move and unfortunately it happens a lot in Overwatch but also other games. Fortnite is a good example, but pretty much any game where you need to work together as a team has a high chance of having rage quitters in it. Somehow these type of games attract rage quitters and if there isn't a punishment for rage quitting then people will keep doing it. It's why I report every rage quitter in Overwatch, because you get sick and tired of this really fast. Imagine playing in arcade mode and getting your nine wins for the three loot boxes and in every match people on your team rage quite which pretty much seals your fate to lose. If that happens multiple times in a row you just get sick and tired of it! People like that shouldn't even be allowed to play games with others. But they always show up in every game and seem to be unaffected by anything while you just sit there frustrated that you lose again because some asshole rage quitted.
Why are rage quitters some of the worst people that you can meet in a game?
Rage quitters are one of the worst type of gamers because they pretty much screw everyone else over with their behaviour. They can't seem to stick with a team, have no sense of team work and apparently have to leave when they have had enough. If your team sucks then just do your best and leave once the match is over, don't leave in the middle of the match because that will often mean that someone else will fill in the slot and that person won't be happy as well. Rage quitters are also incredibly selfish scumbags, they only think of themselves and so when they have had enough they leave and pretty much say fuck you to the rest of the team while they do it. Rage quitting is just a pathetic response from a person that is in my eyes already a loser, because rage quitting is the mentality of an immature douchebag that can't handle defeat. That makes you think that most rage quitters are kids but unfortunately there are also adults that rage quit. In my experience and opinion rage quitters ruin multiplayer games and I don't think they belong in multiplayer games. Go back to single player games and rage quit there, then the only person you hurt with that type of behaviour is yourself. But like I said before rage quitters are selfish scumbags so no they won't do that, they have to be in multiplayer and have to leave whenever they feel like it and not thinking one second about the team. You don't have to like eachohter but at least bring up some respect to stick with the team till the end of the match. I know that is super hard for some people but it can make a lot of difference. If it is truly that hard for someone to play with other people then maybe this person should really look for other type of games because apparently he or she can't handle playing with others that well. Better yet rage quitters should just quit playing games, that would do everyone a favour!
