The golden loot box is useless in Overwatch?

There was some talk about golden loot boxes and that they were supposedly the type of loot boxes that would contain all the previous event items. But unfortunately golden loot boxes only contain one guaranteed vanilla legendary item. Which is a huge disappointment for a lot of fans. Then there's also the bullshit with subscribing to Twitch Prime if you want to get one free golden loot box. To keep it simple and short, is it worth it? Nope!

Are people (still) mad at Blizzard?

It wouldn't surprise me. I mean the whole dance emote thing is still fresh in our memories and here is the next fuck you to the fans. Anyone that had some hopes and dreams have seen them crushed and you're back in fuckville. Thank you and have a nice stay! People don't give a shit about these golden loot boxes if they only contain vanilla legendary stuff, I mean who the hell cares about that at this time? Sure maybe in the first couple of months when nobody really had these but now more than a year later I think most people have at least one legendary for each Overwatch hero. People want to have a better chance at getting the event items and/or change the duplicate system because right now it sucks balls!

Change the duplicate system?

I think we either get rid of the duplicates, as in you always get items you don't have, or duplicates are worth more credits so you can buy more items yourself. Right now a duplicate is only worth 1/5 of the original price, so if I get a legendary duplicate I only get 200 credits for it instead of a 1000 what it's actually worth if you want to buy one. At this point it's worth more to get the legendary treasure chest full of credits because that's worth 500 credits. Duplicates get you only a fraction of what something is really worth and don't even get me started about the event items. Then the prices are tripled but you still get the same original duplicate price. So a legendary event item is worth 3000 credits but if I get a duplicate I still get 200 credits for that. Is that fair Blizzard? Is it?!!! No it's not! I know why Blizzard likes things this way, because this way people don't earn new things that quickly and they either play the game a lot to unlock as many loot boxes or they decide to spend real money on loot boxes trying to get the items they want. But the duplicates are becoming a real problem with this because in the last event I only got three legendary event skins and I opened more than fifty loot boxes. I guess I should consider myself lucky because a friend of mine also got three legendary event skins but all three of them are the same Genji skin. Saying that you're mad or disappointed doesn't even come close how you feel with this type of bullshit.

So what needs to change?

First of all I think we should get more credits for duplicates, if Blizzard is going to keep duplicates in the game then you should get more credits for them because every loot box I open at this point has at least one duplicate in it and it's hardly worth it. So instead of getting 1/5 of the price I think you should get at least half the price or 2/3 of the original price and this should also count for event items. If an item is three times that expensive then you should get three times the amount of credits for it if it's a duplicate. I think it would also be nice if golden loot boxes would be a reward for every ten levels you gain in the game, then you would get a guaranteed legendary item which shouldn't be a duplicate and would also contain event items. Another system that would be interesting if you could earn credits with finishing matches. One of the most annoying things in Overwatch are the rage quitters, so give people like fifty credits if they finish a game from start to finish, maybe a bonus for the first three matches you win. Also put some challenges in the game so you can earn credits. For example play five matches as a certain hero, play three matches as a certain class, win a match, etc. Give people a reason to care about the game and a lot of things become more tolerable. I doubt that Blizzard will ever get rid of the duplicates so give us more credits for duplicates or more ways of earning credits. This way we can buy our own stuff and have to depend less on a rigged loot box system. Sure sometimes you get good stuff but most of the time you get bad loot, which really sucks out the fun of the game and makes you care less and less about a game I once really enjoyed playing. Blizzard, please make Overwatch great again!
