Overwatch Arcade Rage!!!
Have you ever played Overwatch? No? Then you probably don't know how lame some people are and how stupid a game can be. For example trying to get those 'free' loot boxes can be such a frustrating and annoying experience, no matter how experienced you go into arcade mode you always come out as a broken and annoyed gamer.
What's wrong with arcade in Overwatch?
You could say what isn't wrong with the arcade game mode in Overwatch. I play arcade for one simple reason, earn the three loot boxes with a total of nine wins and get the hell out! Except winning nine matches can be a real frustrating experience when everytime you play a match you get people in your team that pick useless characters or character combinations. Yes I'm talking about Hanzo, Genji and Widowmaker combination or the all support combination (Mercy, Ana, Zenyatta, Symmetra and Lucio). Maybe against a terrible team you might win but against any team that just plays the objective and isn't fucking around you get destroyed. Then there is the horrible matchmaking in Overwatch. You see Blizzard thinks that it's ok to put a four man group in one team against a total random team (no groups at all) in the other team. Oh yeah, super fair and balanced! This doesn't happen once or twice, no this happens ten to twenty times a day! The big problem with all this is that you need to win nine matches, if Blizzard would just change it to play twenty matches and you earn the loot boxes then I'd be fine with it because I would just need to finish matches and I'm done before I know it. Hopefully this also keeps assholes from leaving matches all the time because another frustrating thing is you joining a losing match in progress. Nine out of ten times when I join a match in progress I literally get shoved into a losing match and the team I join has one minute or sometimes even less to win. Yeah great fun, this absolutely isn't dumb at all! My experience with arcade mode is that a lot of things work against you, winning is almost impossible with certain teams and somehow you keep finding people that just really don't want to win and probably take the entire week to get their nine wins. I understand if you get beaten by a team that was just better but if your team just makes no effort to play for the objective and literally hangs around spawn or near spawn then what is the point? Why even play this game? I could rip off some douchebags arms and he or she would be just as useful as some of these players! This is purely frustration, just so much frustration in a game mode that is supposed to be fun. But Blizzard knows how to kill fun, yes they're very good at that!
Arcade games are lame in Overwatch?
I hate 1 vs 1 and 3 vs 3 games, this is absolutely for a certain type of person and I don't feel like I'm that kind of person. A lot of matches you play in this game resolves around who moves forward and who waits in ambush. Then there are people that like to camp in certain spots, now preferably near the middle so they can also win with the capture point if you don't run up to them. Mystery heroes is a game mode that is broken, I get matches where my team just never gets a healer or a tank. Then there is the enemy team that does have tanks and healers or they always seem to get a Bastion or two just when we're about to win. If you don't have the right character and keep getting bad characters it can be very tough to beat one or two Bastions. Especially if their team protects them constantly. The idea behind mystery heroes is that you keep getting another character if you die but I've gotten Sombra three times in a row and it didn't work out at all against that team. You can keep killing yourself by running towards the enemy team, suicide bombing with your character and hope to take one or two out when you go down or jump off the map and hope you get something better next time. Whatever it is you do certain matches just seem broken, absolutely in the favour of one team while the other teams keeps getting crap! Total mayhem, it's a nice idea where you have double your health and your abilities and ultimate recharge a lot faster but there are always people that pick the lame characters to massive absuse this game mode. Just think of a Tracer that is constantly blinking around and you just have the hardest time to hit a target that is constantly on the move. Capture the flag is a game mode that could be good but too many times you get people on your team that completely ignore the objective. For example a sniper that positions himself or herself far from the objective and just shoots random people if they take an alternate route. That's great but we could use that near the flag, you know when they're capturing it and taking it back to their flag, there are matches where half of your team is just nowhere near the objective and it just makes you think why they even play the game mode. I would want to ask them but just like in quickplay and in a lot of ranked matches hardly anyone talks in arcade mode. Don't get me wrong, I think that Overwatch is a fun game but there are several things that are very frustrating and I think that this can be fixed but unfortunately Blizzard doesn't seem to think so. Well maybe it's time to move on, but probably after this event because I still need more dance emotes!
