Sinful Sunday: Solo queue hell
When none of your friends play the same games as you or play them on a different console then it often means you're in for some interesting matches. Enter the life of a solo queue player where one match can be good and the other terrible. It doesn't matter which game you play, certain things always stay the same!
Solo queue is horrible?
It can be, especially if you keep facing people in groups or clans. The amount of times when I had to face a group of friends or a clan as a member of a team of random people is more than I can remember and it would almost always end the way you would expect. Maybe some people are ok with that but I hate it, because it's not just unfair but also a waste of time. Often people on your team will already leave the game when they see that they face a group of friends or a clan, because they know that the chances to win aren't that big if your team doesn't communicate or work together. You would think that in solo queue there would be others like you, people that want to find other people to play games with and have fun. Well as likely as that might seem the truth is that this isn't always true, sometimes you meet people that are friendly and fun to play games with but there are also people that you will encounter that aren't friendly and absolutely not fun to play games with. Does that mean solo queue is horrible? No, but I understand that some people have terrible experience with solo queue and it makes sense that these people are less likely to play another match in that game again.
What is so terrible about solo queue?
It's often the chance on getting in a team of random people and facing a group of friends or a clan, because they often win that encounter. Not that it's bad to be in a random team, but if nobody communicates or wants to work together then it's pretty much already a done deal. You're going to lose and the only chance you have to win is hoping that the other team is even worse than your team or they completley underestimate your team. For me solo queue is the only thing I got, my friends play on a different console or on the pc so I can't play games with them. Which sucks when you play games where you have to play as a team, because that's exactly where you could use friends instead of random people that sometimes have no idea what they're doing or refuse to work with you as a team. The weirdest thing is people that have their microphone plugged in but never say a word, it's almost as if they want to talk but decide not to. What I really hate is being beaten by a bad team, a team that isn't more skilful than your team but because they do communicate and work together they manage to beat you or they use some cheese tactic that secures the win for them. A decent team that communicates and works together should be able to beat that, unfortunately nine out of ten times I find myself in a team that might have individual class but as a team we all fail. Once you're in a losing streak then things go from bad to worse, you become salty and even the slightest setback is enough to make you rage. Honestly if you have friends with whom you can play games then you better treasure that because some of us are in solo queue hell!
