Injustice 2 is the best fighting game?

I'm going to be honest with you, I don't like fighting games that much. I usually screw up the combos and that's when I actually remember a combo, I always seem to get upset really fast when it comes to fighting games and I don't see the fun in playing a fighting game for longer than a couple of days. So enough reason for me not to buy Injustice 2, but I actually did buy Injustice 2 and I don't regret a thing!

What makes Injustice 2 so much fun to play?

First of all it's all the heroes and villains in the game, I love the DC characters and to be able to play as so many of them is a lot of fun! But it's more than that, it's also the interactions between the characters and hilarious banter that comes from that. If you worry that you get tired of the game after beating the story, which is pretty good in my opinion, then there is still a lot of other things you can do! Of course there's multiplayer and you can do this local or online, so beating up your friend that is sitting next to you on the couch or someone on the other side of the world. But there is more! There is also the multiverse where you can constantly find new challenges and missions you can do which pretty much keep you busy until you get sick and tired of the game. Yes that's right it's a neverending story eh adventure! Talking about the story, you play as different heroes and villains in the story and eventually you will have to pick a side. I could spoil the story for you but knowing that Superman is bad and an even bigger threat is coming you should have enough reasons to check out the story!

Be your own kind of hero or villain?

You can earn gear while playing matches or unlocking them with mother boxes, these are some type of loot boxes that give you new gear, shaders, abilities or money. This new gear also gives you a new look, some of the looks are really cool and you really want to keep that look even if you find better gear. So you can morph the better gear into looking like the gear you like more. This way you keep the stats of the better gear and the look of the gear you like more. This improved gear gives your character better stats and makes him or her tougher in the multiverse. This comes in very handy when you play against tougher enemies and face more difficult challenges. There is so much gear that you will quickly find yourself choosing what to pick for your character, but you have multiple loadout slots so you can try out different styles and see what works out best for you. Some characters also have special skins that lets you play as a different character, for example the Flash has a Reverse Flash skin and Cheetah has a Vixen skin. This doen't mean you just get a different look but the character also has his or her own voice and reaction if you play against other characters.

This game is worth buying?

I think it is, especially if you like DC characters and enjoy playing fighting games. But I can say from experience that even if you're not really into fighting games it's still a lot of fun to play. There are moments that are less fun though, for example the fight against Brainiac is really annoying because he does extra damage, he has extra moves that do a lot of damage to you and he takes less damage from your attacks. What I do like is that there are checkpoints before each fight so you don't have to start over and you can even play on the very easy difficulty so if you really suck at fighting games, like me, then the game will give you the means to still be victorious! The multiverse alone should keep you busy for quite some time, the battle simulator will always have matches for you and gives you additional endings for each character. Even in the story there are chapters where you can choose between two characters, so you have some options and knowing that there are two different endings then you know that you have at least two playthroughs for the story! I think that Injustice 2 is a lot of fun, maybe it's not the best fighting game but it's the fighting game that has been the most fun for me to play in a very long time!
