When you have your own channel you can make your own videos, this attracts all kinds of people. Some of them are nice, others can even be helpful or have some advice for you, then there are people who will not like your content and those that feel the need to leave unpleasant comments with dislikes on your channel. You can get mad, annoyed or just ignore and move on with what you like to do! Because...
Haters gonna hate!
When you have low quality videos like me then there will always be people that feel the need to let me know how bad the videos are. As if that's news to me. Maybe they think that I live with the illusion that I make amazing videos, well here's a newsflash...I don't make amazing videos! I even put in my description of my channel that I make low quality videos. But there will always be people that will need to let me know that my video is terrible, it's the worst video they've ever seen or that I should kill myself. Yes people can be real heroes online, but in the end I don't give a fuck what they think. I make videos because I like to make videos, if other people don't like them then don't watch them. It's not like I promote my videos or say that they're amazing, but still people can't seem to resist the urge to be a dickhead in the comments.
Maybe some YouTubers are sensitive to what others say or think, but I honestly don't care because I don't expect praise or compliments for my videos. I know I make low quality videos so getting a like is already a victory for me, but if people want to leave a comment then I won't stop them. It's just sad how some people seem to try and put more negativity out there when clearly they need a break from their computer and get some fresh air. Just reading certain comments makes you wonder how sad some people are.
The thing is that haters are gonna hate and that's just the way it is. You can try to talk to these people but if you think you're going to get wiser out of that conversation then you're mistaken. There are haters and haters have to hate, that's apparently in their nature and unfortunately there isn't much you or me can do about that. Maybe someone has problems at home, issues with school or work and who knows what else is going on in the life of the hater. It's easy to go on the attack but just realize that haters come and go, it's pretty rare for haters to stick around unless they're also trolls. The best defense is usually to ignore but if you feel like responding then that's of course up to you.
Don't stop making videos because of some haters, you make videos because you want to and because you have fun making videos. Don't let some haters stop you from having a good time and doing something you love to do. There will always be haters and letting that keep you from having fun is just silly. Do what you like to do and who knows you might just get some nice comments and positive reactions as well. The internet might not be the most friendly place but it's not all bad, I think...
