Middle Earth Shadow of War, yay or nay?

Sometimes games get a sequel and that makes me wonder, is this something to be happy about or not? I don't want to complain but some games are just better when it's just that one game, then there are games that get some good sequels and then there are games that get so many sequels that it just lost everything that made it good. To be honest there is another addition to this list, games that were good, got some great sequels, then things turned bad and then with the latest game in the series it's good again. But going back to Shadow of War, is this a game we should be happy about? I think fans of the first game are excited and those that haven't played Shadow of Mordor will most likely be interested in this game as well, but you should play Shadow of Mordor first to avoid some spoilers!

Same guy, same deal?

 The trailer didn't reveal that much, I mean you're still Talion but if I have to believe the trailer it's without Celebrimbor, the wraith that lives within Talion in the first game and gives him more power, but I think that this game might be a bit different. In the trailer you see that Celebrimbor is driven out of Talion and Talion wears a ring of power, not the ring of power but another one. What this exactly means I don't know but it might mean that you get new powers and that you can do new things in the same world that you most likely love. This is actually not a bad thing and also makes it more acceptable that you begin with nothing again, something that is always lame when you start a sequel with the same character and you're back at being low level without any real powers kind of person.

Should you be excited about this game?

 If it's going to be anything like Shadow of Mordor then I think the game will be pretty good, eventhough I doubt they'll make it exactly the same. Maybe they keep the nemesis system and all that but maybe with your ring of power you get new abilities and that creates new possiblities and options. Unfortunately I don't know what that could be and at this point it would be pure speculations. Hopefully more news is being revealed soon, especially when you realize that the game is launching this Summer! I think that Shadow of War could be a fun game and definitely worth checking out, at least keep a close eye on this game and if you haven't played Shadow of Mordor then absolutely do that because it's a fun game and definitely worth checking out! I hope that this will be a good sequel because we already have enough bad sequels out there, so let's hope that this will be an amazing sequel!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet!
