YouTube adventures -55- Achievement/trophy guides are difficult to make?

You've probably looked up an achievement or trophy online, wether that was in the early days where you would have to read through a lot of text online or these days where there is a video that shows you how you get an achievement or trophy. It seems simple but in fact making a good achievement or trophy guide isn't that simple! Why? Because if you want to make a good guide, a helpful guide and above all an easy to understand guide that is straight to the point then that will require effort and I think most people would be more happy to keep it short and simple.

Making an achievement or trophy guide.

When my camera was starting to fail, as in could only record short moments of time, I knew I had to change things. I couldn't record my multiplayer matches anymore because nine out of ten times the last couple of minutes would then not be recorded. That's frustrating but at the same time pointed me towards other possibilities. Instead of being the rage/fail guy in multiplayer I could try to help people with guides, of course that's easier said than done.

I had made some achievement guide videos in the past and often these would not really draw in any attention nor did it really make me happy making them. Which is why I stopped doing that, but after the Fallout 4 guide I made for getting some rare ingredients I did realize that you can actually make a difference with a video, especially if you're one of the few people who actually has a video about what people want and need. In that Fallout 4 video I showed people where they could find rum, this seems like something silly but a lot of people had and maybe still have trouble finding that and you need it as an ingredient for one of the Nuku cola recipes. Without the rum you can't make all types of Nuka cola and that means no achievement or trophy.

After making that video and seeing the reactions on it I couldn't help but feel happy, I helped people and eventhough I make shitty quality videos and there is nothing professional about my videos and style I helped people. So you can say that this inspired me to make more achievement videos, maybe most of them aren't that helpful or are nothing new but if I can help one person with my videos then that already makes it worth the effort and time I put in these videos. I must admit that I prefer to entertain, to make videos of me playing games but making achievement guides is definitely starting to become more interesting to me. I don't know how long I will go on with that but for now I like it! I can definitely recommend it to other people who have a YouTube channel and look for something else or want to try something else. It might not always be rewarding work but help just one person and it's totally worth it!
