Other gamers make you hate humanity?
I know it's not all bad, but sometimes just sometimes I get the feeling that there are so many unpleasant people out there that just want to ruin the fun for others. I guess in their sad sack of shit mind that is fun, but honestly why be like that? If you don't like something then don't like it and move on! Why would you stay and keep being this douchebag?
Online competitive multiplayer is toxic?
That seems to be an understatement, honestly the amount of people that frustrate you when you play online multiplayer is just ridiculous. Oh I'm not talking about being salty when you lose, no I'm talking about people that deliberately want to lose to annoy others. In games like Overwatch they'll pick useless characters or characters they're bad with and so drag their team down. Then there are gamers in games like CoD or Battlefield that will constantly rush out and get themselves killed by some lame ass camper and pretty much seal the fate of the rest of the team by giving the enemy team almost half the points they need to win. You can understand how other people react to that, which makes it so toxic. People blame eachother, people yell at eachother or call eachother names. It's one big immature load of shit at times, this is really what makes me want to run away from multiplayer and just play a fun single player game to find some peace. But unfortunately the misery doesn't end with multiplayer games.
Online comments are the worst about gaming?
Whenever I want to see the trailer or some gameplay for a new game there are always and I do mean always people that have this need to say that the game is terrible or that only idiots would be interested in playing this game. Of course these sad sack of shit douchebags are trolls but that doesn't take away the fact that they're always there. As if they have nothing better to do. What's worse is that a lot of people like to jump on the hate train and give a game a lot of hate for not other reason than following the majority with the negativity. For example right now a lot of people are hating Mass Effect Andromeda, I can understand that some people don't like the game but seeing so many people hate on this game is just ridiculous. At this point it feels like people hate the game just to be a prick or to follow the majority online because why the hell would you have your own opinion when you can be a sheep and follow the rest? At this point who wants to read the comments? I don't because it seems like hardly anyone has something positive to say. Sure there are other people like me that also notice the hate and wonder why, but unfortunately that doesn't stop it. I don't even think that most people hate certain games, it's just that the haters are more loud in the comments and for some sad reason see it as their mission to annoy others with their comments. Because half of the time it's not opinions that are given but they try to sell it as facts which only proves how sad these people really are. I mean who starts a hate campaign against a game you don't like? If I don't like a game I don't play that game, I don't watch the trailer and I for sure don't comment on the videos telling other people how much I don't like the game. Why would you do that? Do you think anyone really cares about that? If you do then you have quite the imagination because honestly nobody cares!

Trying to find fun and friendly people to play with is like trying to dive up a sunken treasure in the ocean with a blindfold on and no oxygen tank on your back. It seems impossible at times. But before you give up and just want to shut out the rest of the world I would like to add that it's not all bad, yes there are a lot of loud assholes online that make everyone look bad but they don't speak for everyone and it only shows your strength by speaking up and against these douchebags! The best way to handle trolls is to ignore them but sometimes it's good to show that these losers aren't the ones that define what is good and what is bad. You decide which games you like and don't like. Don't listen to the hate, make your own decisions and have your own opinion instead of following the majority. It might not be a popular route but at least it's your route in life and that is worth so much more! If you encounter a lot of frustrating people online, wether that's in games or in the comment section, just keep in mind that this is just someone who enjoys annoying others and thus has no real life. Instead of wasting time on such a waste of life you can just have fun and do what you like to do, it really beats trying to argue with a douchebag. Yes there are a lot of annoying people online, but not everyone is like that. It just sometimes takes some time until you meet some friendly people.
