Day one dlc is bullshit?

One of the things I really don't like about games these days is that there is day one dlc, so the moment the game launches there is dlc but most times you have to pay for it to actually be able to play it. So instead of just giving you a full game developers love to cut it up a bit and try to sell you additional parts of the game on launch day. Is that bullshit? It sure looks like it!

Why the hate for day one dlc?

Of course you can ignore it, it's purely optional and nobody forces you to buy it but it just seems so lame when you have to buy for something that should've been in the game. If you put dlc out there from the start then it should've been in the game, the same with dlc that is already announced before the game has even launched. At that point I just get the idea that developers want to drain some more money out of gamers instead of giving them something extra. It's such a shame that this is the new way of launching games, not giving you everything but add parts of the game as dlc that you have to pay for. That's a great way to piss gamers off and make certain that people might not pay for your dlc! The thing is that there are already so many games out there and we don't all have enough money to buy everything, if we also have to pay extra money to get the full game because developers cut the game into pieces for dlc that you have to pay for then what's left for us? Do we constantly have to pay for the same game until we finally get the whole deal? What happened to the this is the price and that is the full game deal? I like dlc, it gives you more stuff to do in the same game you like but when this is there from day one then I just can't help but get the feeling I'm being drained for money!

So dlc that is shows up later is ok?

Is that weird? I mean what if developers still do the same thing but just launch the dlc a couple of months later? Is that ok? Not really but this is the type of stuff to get paranoid over, because what if all the dlc was supposed to be in the game but developers decided to keep it out of the game and later introduced it as dlc. Once you start with that then I don't know where it ends! Let's just try to assume that dlc that is available several months later isn't something that was cut from the game. I might be wrong but once you start thinking that way then everything is wrong and dlc will never be the same anymore. It just irritates me how developers are now confident enough to just launch the game and have dlc for purchase on day one as well, that is just the type of arrogance that makes me want to ignore the game. But unfortunately the majority will buy popular games anyway and buy the dlc so developers will just keep doing what they're doing because we're not going to stop buying their stuff so why would they stop with the dlc bullshit?
