Mass Effect Andromeda will be the best Mass Effect game?
Of course there will be people that disagree and that's fine, but just look at everything Mass Effect Andromeda has to offer you. So many improvements and new things that just make you want to hug the developers and to be honest with you I'm not really a hugger! But how good is Mass Effect Andromeda and should you really be that excited about the game?
Combat is bigger, better and faster?
One of the things in Mass Effect that was always the same was the loadout selection at the start of the game, you would have to decide what kind of Shepard you would be. For example are you a soldier, an engineer or more of an adapt? These different classes would determine your abilities and also pretty much your playstyle, are you going to sit in the back and snipe people or are you rushing in with your assault rifle or shotgun? In Mass Effect Andromeda you can switch between different loadouts and that even means you can use different profiles, which means you can be a soldier, engineer and adapt in one fight! So whenever one isn't working out you can try another loadout. Not only does this creat a more unique and diverse battle it's also a pretty good way to get familiar with different profiles and you might even discover that you like playing in a different way than you used to.
Back in the mako?
I was one of those people who didn't like the Mako in Mass Effect, sure it was fun for a moment but after ten minutes of shooting turrets and enemies you get bored with it. In Mass Effect Andromeda the Mako plays a bigger role, for example it's not just a means to get from one point to another but also to explore or seek shelter. But don't worry too much about the Mako, you can create fast travel points so if you want to get quickly from one point to another that you have already discovered then you can get there faster and you don't have to drive there again in your Mako.
More romance?
I already heard several people being annoyed that there is no Quarian in the team, but you do get several other members of your team with whom you can fool around if you feel like it. Of course there are human companions but also alien companions, for example a female Turian. Oh well whatever gets you going I guess... I don't know if you can romance everyone, your brother or sister (depending if you play as Scott or Sarah Ryder) is not an option!, but there are sure some interesting characters with whom you can get more familiar.
What makes this Mass Effect so great?
In my opinion it's the exploration, I love that about games and going to a part of the universe where no human has been makes it a bit more special. Ok it's in a game and yes I know it's not real but just losing yourself in such a game and the possiblities of everything makes this already an amazing game for me! Of course the combat, planet exploration and story look great as well. I just can't help but be super excited about this game and knowing it launched this month just makes me more excited! I think we all have games that make us happy and we look forward to, for me it's Mass Effect Andromeda this year and I can't wait to play it!
