Far Cry Primal is the Far Cry game we wanted?
Far Cry Primal has been out for more than a week but after playing the game can you say that this is the Far Cry game you really wanted? I mean it's nice all the things you can do but I think some people expected something else, but perhaps it's a good thing that Far Cry Primal is something different and that this brings some fresh air into something we've all seen and done before.
Far Cry Primal is a good game?
I think it is, sure it lacks guns and explosives (for obvious reasons) but that doesn't make this a bad game. You get plenty of other weapons to kill your enemies with and some seem a bit weird but they're still quite effective! Did you ever consider bees as a weapon? Well in Far Cry Primal they're a weapon or at least a good distraction. Then there's your owl, that works as a surveillance drone, that can attack enemies as well and kill them in one hit if they don't see it coming. But let's not forget the most fun part about Far Cry Primal, the ability to tame animals and then use them against your enemies.
You're a beast master?
You could say that, you tame animals and then they fight for you. In some cases that means an animal companion that's useful to spot enemies or that helps you with sneak attacks, but there are also animals that are so big and strong that you can ride them and use them as a tank. For example the giant bear and saber tooth tiger. That might not be subtle but for some people that's the perfect way to raid a camp, you announce yourself and then storm the entrance and kill everyone and destroy everything that gets in your way!
What does this mean for the next Far Cry game?
It's a bit early to talk about that but I assume that we'll be back in our time again, perhaps they keep some tricks from Far Cry Primal, for example taming animals, but I wouldn't mind seeing something different. Far Cry Primal is an interesting game and a daring move, because it could've failed miserably. But as long as you keep fun in a game and make it interesting for people to play then it should be ok, so if the next Far Cry game has that as well then I'm pretty certain that one will do fine. It doesn't really matter in what time the game takes place, as long as it's fun to play!
