Are you still playing the Sims 3?

To be totally honest with you, yes I'm still playing the Sims 3! Why? Because I have all the expansion packs for the Sims 3 and I really like playing that game every now and then. In the Sims 4 I would have to start again with hardly anything of what I have now. So that means no supernatural, no pets, no university and no seasons. These are things I like in the Sims 3 and as long as these aren't in the Sims 4 I don't see any reason to dive into that game!

The Sims 3 is better than the Sims 4?

When it comes to the expansion packs then yes I think the Sims 3 is better, mostly because it offers a lot of diversity and allows you to do some crazy and silly things. For example marry an alien, turn everyone into zombies or summon a meteor to crush a house! These are amazing things I love in the Sims 3 and I doubt I can do that in the Sims 4, well not yet anyway. This is the main problem with every new Sims game, you either stick with the old one until you're comfortable enough to switch to the new game or you jump straight into the new Sims game and start with hardly anything. Oh sure you can make sims and do some silly things but it really feels like you lost most of the game if you compare it to the previous Sims game. I felt this way about the Sims 3 at first as well, because I had all the expansions packs with the Sims 2 so I didn't feel the need to buy the Sims 3 right away but with more interesting expansion packs coming out the urge to buy the Sims 3 became much bigger. Now I'm very happy with the Sims 3 but I still keep a close eye on the Sims 4, maybe one day it will be fun to buy it but not right now!

What makes the Sims 3 so much fun to play?

Well I already gave you several examples but it really comes down to the diversity. There are so many things you can do in the Sims 3, already when you create a sim. You can be a vampire, witch, genie, werewolf or even a ghost from the start and that saves you a lot of work turning sims into these supernatural beings. I've made so many families and some are even weirder than others, for example with one family I married my sim to an alien and have a kid with that alien, then there is a family where I made an evil sorcerer that turns all the sims into zombies and he's also the ruler of evil (it's his day job), then there's the immortal sim that never ages and has already had like fifty wives at this point and let's not forget about my tech sim that builds robots and travels to the future to hang around with his descendants. These are some of the crazy things I can do in the Sims 3, I love it and I don't see myself stopping any time soon! This is one of the things that I love about the Sims games, the possibilities and the unexpected silly things that can happen. That makes playing a game not just fun but also makes you curious for what else can happen.
