Black Ops 3 campaign only on PS4, Xbox One and PC?
This is rough news for people that still play games on their Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and want to play Black Ops 3 campaign. I know that a lot of people don't care about the campaign but this is clearly a sign that the end is nigh for the last gen consoles, games become too fast and too complex for the last gen consoles and that means either upgrade to the current gen (PS4 and/or Xbox One) or get left behind. It's rough but that's how it goes with consoles.
Should you care about the campaign?
If you're someone that never plays the campaign and you don't care about the campaign then you should be ok, because multiplayer and zombies mode are available and that's usually what most people play anyway. But the campaign in Black Ops 3 does look cool, some high tech story with the rise of machines (perhaps some type of Terminator movie influence). If that's not enough then it's cool that you can now play the campaign with three of your friends, which usually means more fun and more chaos. So you might want to keep that in mind, besides you can't play on the PS3 and Xbox One forever so this might be a good time to start saving some money for the next console if you haven't done that already because things will only get worse from this point on!
What else is missing in the last gen version of Black Ops 3?
From what I heard the painshop (where you can customize your gun with a symbol and or colours) is also unavailable on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Which is a shame because giving your weapon an original look is of course pretty cool. I don't know if dlc will be available on the PS 3 and Xbox 360, you might think it is but I can't say for certain at this point. But if you have to assume the worst then it's safe to say that the CoD days on the last gen consoles are running out! Unless you're a dedicated fan to one of the older games and have a group of people with whom you play multiplayer and/or zombies.
Is there good news for people with a last gen console?
Well the game will be a bit cheaper on the PS3 and Xbox 360. About ten Dollars/Euros off, so that's nice for everyone that doesn't have a current gen console and doesn't plan on getting one anytime soon but does want to play Black Ops 3. If you can live with the fact that you can only play multiplayer and zombies on the last gen consoles then you're fine, but just remember that this is the beginning of the end for the last gen consoles.
