Pants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2

After the succes of the first Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare game it doesn't surprise me that there was going to be a sequel and here you go, bigger and better...hopefully. It's still the same idea with third person shooting and being in direct control of one character, wether that's a plant or a zombie is up to you. But is this really something you want to play?

What's new?

Well the developers showed some new plant classes, for example there's a type of orange that can blast enemies with some type of laser (at least it looks like a laser) and he (or is it an it?) has some type of blast shield for protection. But then there's also a corn creature that can blast enemies with corn rockets and kind of fill the blaster role but with bigger blasts and probably a slower rate of fire. Then there's also a rose that has some magic abilities where the rose can turn a zombie into a goat and make it an easy target to get destroy or use some type of time field that will slow down enemies. It's a type of mage and/or support class that can make things a lot easier if used correctly.

What's Grass Effect?

At first I thought this was just a joke, I mean the whole let's make a Mass Effect joke was just too obvious. But it seems that this isn't a joke, there is some Mass Effect inspired stuff in Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. For example a type of power armor that allows someone to use extra abilities while in it, wether it's just for zombies is unknown to me but it would be a bit unfair if it was only for one side. You get this Z7 power armor for free if you pre-order the game now!

Are there also new zombie classes?

Yes you have the imp, a small zombie that has less health but some nice tricks and agility, which might be perfect for people that like to play smart and stay one step ahead of the opponent. But to keep things interesting the imp can also call in a Z mech that will annihilate your enemies and make you a lot tougher! Super Brainz is a type of zombie super hero that likes to punch plants with his fists but he also has a laser to shoot plants from a distance. Then there's also Captain Deadbeard, honestly I didn't make up these names, who is a lot like a scientist but is even slower. He makes up for that by having a sniper rifle for some accurate shooting and he can sneak up to enemies with a barrel and then explode near them.  It's crazy but if you played the first Garden Warfare game I don't think you expected anything else!
